I was also going to suggest the DTM at brands hatch next year but just found out that it's been dropped from the race calender.

Gah, that sucks... I'll do plenty of research when i'm back at home in a couple weeks, to see what's coming up, and what's about. No doubt you're doing it anyway, but an input always helps!

Have to see if there's any Top Gear Live events coming, I know of a few car meets that goes on round my area quite often, if you want to join onto a few more as an ASN meet too, also know the guy who runs them... All offical stuff, none of this "Back Street" jobs.
