Well the cars booked in for a 3" cat back to meet my 3" downpipe a week on Wednesday, and it's getting revo stage 2 on the Thursday.
I know that stage 2 is about prolonging peak power for longer periods, but will the car "feel" faster?
I have read that the torque is increased, and top power is increased by maybe 10-15 bhp?
Will it be like the new car feeling I felt when it was mapped to stage 1?

expect a spike of boost.... more kick.. but also perhaps a little less top end.
depends on how its set up also...

dyno or logging or both?

On the road logging bill, it's getting done at Triple H Motorsport in Newcastle and they don't have a rolling road unfortunately.
To be honest I don't care massively on figures as that's just pub talk, as long as the car drives and feels better I'm happy :)

in my experience it varies a lot between cars... and of course the revo is adjustable for boost and timing remember, and these will effect the actual numbers.. 210-220g/s would be some respectable numbers for airflow

Well its done and all I can say is wow!
I had a 3" cat back none res system made by my local powerflow, he chopped the step down part from the 3" downpipe and went from there straight through to a medium sized round back box with oem Milltek style twin round tips.
Whith that done the car felt like it was breathing so much better and actually felt quicker, weather thats the placebo noise effect I dont know.
The next day the car went in to my local REVO dealer Triple H Motorsport. He scanned and health checked the car before loading the new REVO stage 2 file.
We set it up to run fuel vpower only (9 if i remember correctly?) timing 5 and boost 9.
We roadtested and logged and found correction factors were spot on and reached only 4.5 at max on one run. I believe this is ok?
The car feels absoloutley mental to drive, the boost is just there as soon as you acceletate, and its holding the power really well all the way through the rev range.
It certainly seems quicker, proof in the pudding will be a rolling road maybe next month at Evotune in Durham, as this is where its been rolling roaded on the past and I want to stick to the same rollers.

I thought so, it must be the timing 5 due to me using nothing but vpower?
yeah I do, it's climbing quickly to 1.5 bar and holding 1.3 at red line, I presume this is a combo of the aggressive boost setting and the B5 TIP and 3" exhaust combo?

Next step is a trip to B5 for rods! Ha ha

yea I find the initial higher boost hurts top end performance and torque falls away faster.. Cyl temps getting hot early on and too hot not liking timing up the rev range. It will kick like a mule tho :)

It never ends. As soon as I got a stage 2 I wish I had rods, otherwise I would of had almost 20 lb ft more torque! Big difference to stage 1 though ey? Bet your loving it :)

Yeah I took my friend out the other night who has a Kpro tuned Civic tyre r and he said he felt like the torque was going to tear his face off ha ha! That will be because a moped probably has more torque than the honda!

I wonder if its worth getting it dyno'd and looking at the curve and if it does tail off dramtically, knock back the boost to 8 or 7 and retest and monitor if its holding power better?

Ha ha this is true, it never stops, rods, coilovers, polybushes, tie arms etc are all next on my list!
Moneypit, but I love it!

The change from stage 1 to 2 is unbelieveable, it sounds like a jet fighter when accelerating and the B5 TIP sounds like it could suck in small children and animals ha ha!

personally, yea.. based on what I see on my dyno when mapping cars
you get the whole picture of performance, and logs dont always tell you everything you need to know.
