What's the brightness like? I know it's hard to tell during the day but any thoughts?

Hi mate it leaves a nice crisp white brightness, nothing like the ones you get off ebay which look like someones stuck xenon headlights to the back of their car lol

Can't wait to collect mine Monday morning before work. I'm hoping the issues a few of you are having are user error ;)

I'll be trying mine out soon as they arrived this morning...keep you posted..

2011 Black Edition S3. Error here as well unfortunately. Tried them round the other way etc. Error still comes up. :-(

I have the error too, 2010 A3. I thought perhaps the LEDs werent polarity sensitive but the halogen may be?

lights are working though :)

I also get the error on my 2012 S3.

Lights work still though. Much better in that respect...

Tried both lights changed at the same time, tried them individually too...

Tried clearing all error codes etc..no good.

Sooo.....what's next step... lol

All working on my 09 plate. No errors. Many thanks.

I think they'll be fine on pre-2010 cars as they weren't as sensitive as the newer cars.
These were originally listed for 2010 and newer cars as a solution to the error codes.

Hi.

Not good at all :(

I have sent an email to the factory so will have a reply in the morning on them as they have to work error free!!!

What I am going to do for the time been is cancel the payment links so no more of these get sent out until I have resolved the issue.

Slice, PM me your address, I will post some bulbs out on Monday for you to try, if they work error free I know what the issue is.

I am going to reprint all Labels for those that have ordered, I will get the factory to do the revisions and try and get them here ASAP and posted out for you for this to go like how the test car is going.

i'm sure I can live with the error till you work it out.

Cheers!

Thanks for been understanding Guys.

Links are now cancelled, I had 3 orders today for them which have not been posted, I will refund with a note.

I am posting Slice some some Different ones out, they are the same setup as the Test B7 in the 1st thread when I needed a car to test on, if they work error free I know exactly what the problem is with the new bulbs so will be a simple fix for the factory.

Guys, Really SORRY they have not worked, its ruined my evening put it that way, just told the Mrs to leave me alone while I sulk!

I will wait until we have news from Slice on Tuesday, once he reports back with my suspicions on the issue I will reprint All labels apart from those that report that they are working.

if i cant get it working then A FULL refund will be given and i wont even ask for what i have sent out back but im sure that's not what none of you guys want as all you want is a set of working Error free LED's.

Thanks.

T8ups,

What is the reason for the bulbs working on some cars and not others??

Fully understand you must be dissapointed with this outcome. Happy to wait aslong as it takes to get it sorted

As a fellow perfectionist I know you feel bad trups, but seriously don't stress about it.
At the end of the day they're just bulbs and I highly doubt anyone will be getting pi$$ed off with you. If anyone does then they need to get their priorities in order and they'll have the rest of us on here to contend with.
We know you'll be doing all you can, and that's good enough for me.
I just hope this doesn't leave you out of pocket.

Don't be so hard on yourself Trups, it's just a teething problem. Once I finished working on my RS I'll fit mine and see if they are error free on my 2012 A3, so you can have some more feed back.

T8ups,

When I did the testing I used the normal 2 led smd canbus festoon which I had made last year with 3528smd's, which are the same size used on these.

They has canbus built into them but still brought an error up, when I attached this little blue bulb to it and install it worked error free.

When I had this bulb made I didn't think it would need them canbus chips due to the halogen been there and because the canbus chips are bridged I didn't want the heat from them shortening the life of the bulb, if the chip was to come away from the bridge it would stop the bulb working until its connected back but if they spread them around they are fine as it air's.

Hope that helps, won't take them long to revise it for me, they would only be changing the top part that looks like the old bulbs, the chips would be hidden away.

thanks.

Hi Dan.

Thanks. Its just something I wanted sorted as its been 7 months since I 1st started as its holding me up on a DRL replacement for the mk6 golf I'm working on.

It won't leave me out of pocket, postage on the ones I posted yday was £70 so will just be that but its cool.

Thanks for the support.

Will happily give you £2 to lower that cost you incurred.

Afterall, you are doing the hard graft. I'm sure most will agree.

+ the delivery was mega fast and if you have more cash flow to get the science right then, that's possibly the best £2 I've ever spent.

Totally agree. I don't have a problem doing this too.
£2 each isn't anything, but you having to pay out £2 x35 times is much harder to swallow.

im happy aswell to pay the extra £2. At present £17 is still cheap to have a set of LED number plate lights. Looking on eBay, they are charging £29.99 for a set.

I don't mind paying the postage either.

Alternatively it may be worth more to you for us to return the ones you have sent so you can mod and re-sell.

Let us know how you want to play it! Cheers.

let me work out what is best on this and il get back to you with what would need to be done, maybe if that the case you guys post back the ones that don't work and I send out the modified ones.

Let me wait for Tuesday, when slice tests them and then the factory, I have had a reply which they said they will speak to the technician to see how they would get them in.

So early facelift A3's still used the old BCM so the car would detect the canbus so would work so member PZ's work cause of that, The reason Densty's work is cause he may possibly not have Full DIS but if he was to scan in VCDS the error would be there.

i was thinking the same with the DIS. I have the full dis on my B7, I ran my car on vcds yesterday and cleared all faults. Turned lights on and it the brought back on the fault.
Im guessing that's why some people are succeeding with them and others not.

what year is your audi, think the B7 05-08 isn't as sensitive.
Def 87, what year is your audi?

Mine is 2005, but ive had cruise retro fitted and ive also had the DIS opened up so it shows me all the features.

Dentsy, from what you have explained, it would appear you only have the limited dis which means it won't bring up the error.

cruise retro fitted and full DIS did not know that was possible 😃 how much did that cost mate?

I found someone on ebay who was offering the service including all parts and labour for cruise and DIS.

Parts include; Cruise Control stalk, New Steering Module, New Cowling to house cruise stalk and the new wiper stalk for DIS.

He travelled to me and cost £230 including the VCDS to code everything in. If you want more details i'll pm you his details
