Bit of moan as my self, rant at my self going a knob and expressing my annoyance with life.
They say it happens in 3 and today it did of different levels.
First, car failed the MOT on number plate lights, completely fault. Been doing to change them for weeks.
Failed on tyres as well. knew they was running low but never got found to checking.
All done now, new bulbs and tyres. Falken ZE912s. No idea of they are any good.
Second, cause the car was in for the MOT I cycled to and from work. Rode in with out any issues. On the way home the chain kept jumping, dropping off the cogs and generally mangling it self up. small issue but annoying cause its something else I need to fix but might be good time to fit a single cog to the front.
Third and final thing. when I picked the car up I had the bike rack on the roof. Drove on to town to meet the wife. She was running late so I thought I'd park up in the Mall's car park and meet her.
On my way in to the car park I heard this all might crash, look out the mirror to see my bike and half the bike rack bouncing on the road. (insert appropriate wording here)!!!!.
Picked up the bits of roof rack, bike rack and bike off the road. Stripped the bike done and put it all in the car.
I'm now left with lumps of metal and plastic in the front room from Thule roof rack and bike rack. Need to shift through it and see what is salvageable. Got a nice long dent on the roof and two shorter ones on the boot. The roof bar on the right seems fine, untouched and no issues.
The left one or near side is not so happy. it's all scuffed up where the plastic/rubber/metal of the roof bar feet rubbed a long it, the joining gap at the is bigger than before and at an angle plus the front bit where it bolts in to the roof now moves.
I'm hoping its just loose and not damaged the roof in anyway.
In short, always try and remember when you got a bike on your roof when entering a multi story car park.
