Welldone ballast are good quality, that means they make the bulbs shine less blue than average or cheap HID kits.

6000ºk are usually pure white with a good quality ballast.

The Valeo ballast are even better so they make the bulbs shine more white/yellow.

As an example I can tell you that a 6000ºk bulb with the Valeo ballast (OEM HID kit) looks sightly yellow.

(this pic is from AudiSport-iberica forums, it shows an early test on the OEM HID kit with a 6000ºk bulb, before the product was finished)

As you can see the 6000ºk don't look blue at all.

Hello
I want one kit oem wit bulbs h7 4300
Thank you

Would it be possible to swap the bulb out for a 8000k for example? And it would work, or are hid's paired?

You can change he bulb color anytime, no problem.
The same ballast will work great for 4300, 6000, 8000, H1, H7, H11... as long as you use welldone A38P Bulbs.

Regular HID bulbs can not work with the Welldone A38P or OEM HID kits.

Yes, now they do.

For this GB you should be able to get 4300k, 6000k or 8000k color for H7 & D2S bulbs.
If you want another color let me know. ;)

I emailed the guys from Welldonehid a week ago and didn't get an answer so don't know what is going on there or if I would trust them with my money...doesn't give me a good feeling.

Could be interested to add a set of these to my order: Headlights
Would those be OK for eventually getting to a proper set of auto levelling Xenons? As they do mention "[FONT=Arial, Verdana, Helvetica].electric highness control (motor integrated)"

Sorry guys, I have been overseas lately & most of the time I have no internet connection.

This kind of headlight is has no HID homologation "DC/DCR" so even if you install headlight washers & auto Levelling is not going to be legal.

You have to use the DC/DCR headlights & usually that means OEM HID headlights.

You can install the Xenon or Bixenon headlights they offer on the Group Buy.

After the GB on other forums & the reviews from the people who joined that GB I don't see why not to trust them.

They promise not to blow away the wiper motor & it is confirmed by many A3 owners.

If you have any doubt you can google about it, you will find plenty of info.

So they will ship the packages out to everyone individually yes...shipping cost on their page is reasonable? Did they say anything about GST issue for people outside of Europe? Their prices include GST so they would have to give a net price excluding taxes (I think 18% in Spain if thats where they are).

Edit: 21% just checked and they changed something in the order process because now it automatically deducts the tax from shipping and item costs. Sweet!

Still the question whether the headlights will be the left hand traffic versions if shipped to UK or Australia? No use getting RHD ones :)

The company is not located in UK, so the headlights would be LHD & not RHD.
Most of the Xenon headlights have an almost completely flat light cut off, so it might not be a big issue.

so these aren't suitable for uk cars!?

UK and Australia is left hand traffic. Spain (where they are located) right hand traffic. So the headlights will be useless if they send out the right hand traffic version to the UK. That has been discussed in other Threads where people tried buying Bi-Xenons from Germany (as they are much cheaper). The light will blind oncoming traffic due to the different configuration of the light beams. There is a reason they make two version after all :D. Still hoping they may actually source UK spec ones for UK customers....

Did i just read that ryt?

are these headlights not compatible for the uk?

BLAZE, when are we looking at to complete the order? i could do with these before the dark winter nights :p

We do not know that, yet. If they send right hand traffic ones (Germany etc) then not compatible. If they have left hand traffic UK spec ones...different story. I tried emailing and asking them, waiting for answer still. RHD and LHD have different part numbers and different beam alignment, which cannot be changed manually and will blind oncoming traffic if designed for right hand traffic.

Im still waiting for my email response back, in reality them seem like a terrible company lol
