rebuilt turbo??

What's wrong with your upgrade?

You're not happy with your new power upgrade already, sell it & buy an S3 then lol.

Honestly can say, not because I wanted any of the work, but facelift is like night & day, difference is that whenever we come out & see the front end now, it never fails to bring a smile, whereas the older look always left a question mark of do we like it anymore.

Very good upgrade and will make your car just as fun as a s3 but good on fuel , I wouldn't use that turbo in the link but get a darkside kit works out cheaper !

He's already upgraded the turbo with darkside, he's just being greedy now lol.

Ha sounds about right !! What turbo did you go for in assuming by the way you put a 2260 up you got a 17 or 20 ? What you running around 230 ? Get some injectors and a bigger turbo hello 300hp and stupid amounts if torque

There's nothing wrong with being greedy for torque and bhp!

Greed is good....

s3 500bhp is me in a wall some where lol to much power but your s3 is amazing.

yeah I keep looking nigel and thinking it looks nice but would look better with the 8p3 facelift.

I maybe should of gone for the 2260vk turbo in the first place but I have not driven one and didn't want crazy turbo lag. I have recently been in the darkside caddy which is 290bhp I think and is so fast and the pull is unreal but as I never drove it I still don't know what I feels like below 2500rpm.

with the 1756 I have it feels like it pulls from just over a 1300rpm it feels so nice to drive around town and quick when I stamp on it. if the 2260 feels the same low down just a but longer before the big kick of the turbo then I maybe should have gone with that kit.

its ok saying get an s3 but I do travel not as much as I used to but I still do long journeys and a diesel comes into its own on long distance. I see 500-600 miles per tank with my current set up I think an s3 would be giving me 250-300 fuel bill would be a lot higher

would no one recommend going for the recon 2260 or any recon turbo? the one in the link is from a guy on skoda forum he states there rebuilt in Poland and sold through a scottish company it come with a balance sheet but I suppose anyone could just copy a balance sheet

that interesting in if garrett don't supply parts to fix there turbos then how or what are these people using to refurb them

its just remanufactured parts mate nothing wrong just they aint genuine parts, its only the case on some of the garret turbos with the vnt systems as they are harder than a normal turbo to set up, see the link below its just as they don't want people saying we have fit genuine parts but not be upto standard as they haven't set it up correctly they do parts for the normal gt series ect
