Swap RNS-E in wife's 2006 A3

Hello everyone,

I need to replace the RNS-E unit in my wife's 2006 A3. I have found a place that has new units. Physically swapping should be easy, but I have no idea about the coding aspect. Could you all offer some insight into what it will entail? She has Sirius satellite radio, if that matters...

Am I better off getting the same model, or looking for the updated version?

Her RNS-E screen died a while ago. I replaced the screen and all was well for several months. Then the new screen started to go off intermittently. Jiggling the cable worked for a bit, but then failed to turn it on. Removing the RNS-E unit to replace the old cable with a new one, I noticed the

Being a native Floridian, I hate sweating and am not fond of the beach. You can always bundle up for warmth, but you can't always get cool.

Scotland sounds like heaven. You get to wear sweaters and jackets. You all have really awesome accents.
