Post Pics Of Your A3/S3 8v In Here

Photo 3Photo 2Photo 4Photo 1

A few photos of our new addition. It needs a clean but i find it hard not using it every time i get the oportunity to nip out.
The wife gets to use it everyday for work as i have the van so its my special treat of a weekend getting to drivee it.

My first impressions of coming from Ford,Renault & Mini hothatches is that the build quality is superb and leagues ahead of my previous cars. Not quite as fast though as this has to remain standard as our family is due to expand in March so we had to go for something a little sensible and practical for prams ect. Love every minute of being in it though !

What suspension do you have on that Casey87 ? Youve made me want mine a little bit more now ! apart from mine is going to have 2 doors less :)

It should have the S-Line suspension as i now have the dealer sheet with the options listed on it and it doesnt say anything about S-line deletion or Sport added.

The car is half on the kerb though so it does make it look a little lower. Im going to try and give it a detail this week and post some better pictures up. I do loves it though, cracking little car. Pretty sure it will still get the Revo treatment in a few months when shes got a few miles on her and there are some reviews from Revo on a remap.

It may be on the "Sport" setup then as this is the standard set up for an S-Line, SE and S-Line setups are both FOC options.

P.S looking good by the way :) love the SB in glacier with privacy, I don't think it works quite as well on a 3 door ;)

Sport is the standard on the A3 for S-line, you have to 'opt in' to s-line suspension

How do you know you get the correct suspension that you order? I mean if you order s-line how can you physically tell it's right? For all you know the car might arrive with sport suspension and the dealer would just lie to you?

There's a website somewhere that you can put in the codes from the front of your service manual and it lists all the options. Other than that, there is no way other than visual check that I can think of

I spoke to the dealer yesterday and he said that it wa supplied with Sport suspension, as you had to specify or choose at build stage for the S-Line suspension. Cant help but think ive been conned a bit here. Before coming on this website i didnt realise that you had to opt in for S-Line suspension, you would think it automatically comes as part of the S-Line pack. Slighlty annoyed that he didnt tell me more info at the point of sale.

I feel your pain, there are a couple of things I would have changed had I have been better informed by the dealer.
I think one thing you can be assured of is the dealers seem to have little or no knowledge on anything that they don't earn a spiv on :(

But to be fair I think you will be more than happy with sport suspension, I know the ride is entirely personal but I did confirm the car came with the sport set up as S-Line is quite firm ;)

As promised here are a few more pictures of my car.
Detailing Detailing 3 Detailing 4

These were taken by the detailer Nick at DMC Newbury who as you can see has done a cracking job getting my car up to snuff..:yahoo:. I can highly recommend him.

Nice :) I think Shiraz is such a lovely rich colour, I bet you're so pleased with your choice :)
I am.. It looked great when I picked it up. Unfortunately it started to rain just after I did, so I couldn't enjoy that just cleaned look for long. Was fun watching the beading form and then just roll off due to the ceramishield coating though..

Here's a few pics of my 1.6 TDI. I think it needs lowering a bit, but I'll wait until spring. I've just had cruise control retrofitted. I bought a kit from Germany including the activation code and did the installation myself, so I just needed the dealer to activate the CC online (I first bought a CC stalk from eBay, but I had to buy anothern one to get the activation code - you can't buy the code without buying the stalk!). Anyway, I still saved about £ 430 (It's quite expensive in Denmark).

Nice looking ride 8pj, gotta love those alloys.

Did you also fit the S3 grill? How easy was it to find and fit?

Thanks. The alloys are from the 8P RS3 (I prefer that colour rather than black ones for my car). I retrofitted the S3 grill also. Bought it in Germany from a Audi dealer(about 305 Euros). I wasn't sure, that it'd be a perfect fit though, but took the chance and luckily it was. You have to remove the bumper, but it's quite easy (you have to have a helper to avoid scratching the fenders though), and then the grille can be fitted easily.

Love it, looks amazing, my favorite pic so far, but i am biased as red with Pano and no roof rail is my choice as well !
(except i went for sport back and Misano red)
it is rare to see that combination for some reason (cant understand why is not more popular) and i have looked a lot for pics,
so great to see some pics of this combination.
More pics would be really appreciated if you get time, keeps me going as have another 5 ish weeks wait !
you must've chuffed !
p.s. alloys work great as well !

Yea whats the second key in that pic? Thought we get the normal flick key.

It's not a key at all is it? I thought it was just a remote for the aux heating.

if by key you mean does it open the doors, then it doesn't

it just operates the aux heating

Thanks you very much

here are another 2 :

Thanks for that,
so glad with my choice now as wasn't 100% sure when first ordered. And have seen very few photos of 8V's in red with Pano,
then photos i a have found are normally with roof rails, which aren't my thing.
cheers
enjoy,
I am sure you will.

Hey All,

Just a few photos of my new 8V. Will upload some interior shots when I get a chance, (and apologies for the not-so-great quality).

Will put up a full review in a few weeks or so.

Hey snowfree you picked a hell of a day to be out taking pics! I'd love to see some drier versions of your LEDs.

Love the S3 grille, anyone know if the chrome strips can be purchased seperately and retrofitted to the standard grille.
I know this was possible on the S3 8P, these are sometimes available on Ebay and are OE sets

Unusual colour- sand beige, must be an exclusive colour, but bit of a waste of money to spend all that extra so you can have any colour you want and go for beige !
But thought would post as not seen one before, and probably quite rare, someone might like it ?!?
