Tim's Max Power A3

Rear bumper needed taking off and painting and a clean too, tried to start the car but the battery was dead :( no idea why but charged it up and will see in the morning.

Got some good scratches on the rear panels so will try get them off any ideas whats best to use?

Also the wiper bung is flaking so will paint it

Still not a fan of the rear lights so thinking about putting the oem ones in

and finally the rear bumper isnt 100% so will keep an eye out for one for sale in denim blue or will do it again properly :p

Ironically I want to wrap my silver a3 like you've done with the blue and black :)
Is that an s3 bumper!

HA, if i liked silver id swap :p no its a standard a3 but with the grill section all cut away to make room for a bodged fmic :/

Did you wrap it all yourself? Really not keen on paying a grand for a wrap :s
But equally not keen to screw it up by doing it...

yeah did it myself, same as you really was a bit nevous but its really not that hard you just have to have patience with it, which i didnt have hence why it took me about 2 weeks.

get a wrapping kit off ebay and some anti bubble wrap it doesnt have to be 3m if you want to same money and just watch youtube on how to do it. make sure you leave about a day to do two panels, i could do a whole car in one day if it all went perfectly and it was clean etc but it never will espeically your first time, also order way more than you need.

i need an eco warrior car idealy like a 1.0l micra haha but been told i wont get much for mine atm so probs gonna keep it and just scrape money from my **** and trees

This is the sound im hearing when on high boost i still have yet to check for a leak but has anyone got any ideas?

i really can not be bothered taking tip of as it was such a pita, so if i smoke test and its fine does that just leave turbo if so will just keep an eye out for one

OK i have made my own smoke machine :/ its a foot pump into a bottle which will have a smoke pellet in and then an out which connects to a 70mm bung to fit in the end of my TIP will this work?

been told to have engine off and about 1-2 psi will be enough, will this test the whole system just from the tip?

or do i need to "plug" it in somewhere else too?

also i will be astounded if im leaking from the intercooler pipework i did those clamps up so f-ing tight

little update in general

still have the car gave it a much needed clean and once over (need to service it soon too) fixed the dv hose issue by just bending the end up and flaring it which seems to have work for a temp fix and a rework of the ic piping as it was rubbing on the strut.

Now my problem is i am only boosting too 0.5 bar or around 8.6 psi (it was about 1.3bar before) no noise and i didn't change anything before hand, i checked for any pipes that might have popped off but couldn't see much.

Any ideas?

No codes but only checked with torque, I need to invest in a vag-com.How would I check the n75?

Well this is quite a big but sad update :(

I have been in the process of joining the royal marines and this car was supposed to give me some fun before i left but unfortunalty the process keeps getting delayed and as a result i need a more econimcal car, as it happens a friend crashed his 1.2 53 plate clio and sold it too me for £180, easy fix but its no Audi :(

So its going up for sale this does make me sad but its not getting the attention it deserve and just dont have the time or money to keep it going, here is how it looks atm:

I know its not to everyones taste but if you know anyone that is looking or wants it etc.
5 Doors, 115k miles, k03s

1.8t AUM remapped to around 230 not sure on exact figure as i have not put it on a rolling road since the intercooler.
Over-sized Turbo intake pipe
3" Down pipe + Decat,
Aftermarket resonated cat-back (black plasti dipped tailpipes)
Front mount intercooler
S2000 Filter + Heat-shield
Genuine RSTT 17" wheels painted in black with centers with newish tyres
PCV, N249, SAI Deletes
Switches for phone charger/dock and for ambient lighting + gauges
Oil pressure, Boost, Volt gauges
8k HID's
Front strut brace
Dog-bone replace with yellow polybush
De-badged and De-wipered
Painted interior
Thermostat and sensor replace and oil pick up etc
Spy vision headlights

Bad bits:
Slight leak from behind a pillar (auto-glass did a rubbish job)
Ive been told the TB needs a clean
Could do with new headlights as adjusters are broke
Air filter is a bit stained
and rear bumber doesnt have a 100% perfect paint job

Sorry guys its been a good 14months and hopefully once ive saved a bit i will get an S3 :D

Hello my fellow audi owners :) im hopefully back in business and after a run of clio's, 206's and other rubbish potentially getting another audi. just thought id drop in and ask people opinions on a TT 225 soft top or a S3? anything i should be aware of with the TT?

After reading through your whole thread I love your positivity and never give up attitude. With this in mind I say you have to go for a soft top TT and attack it with the same enthusiasm. The results would be spectacular!

=Its bad news, i cant get insured for an s3 or its over £1000 with admiral everone else was 2k+ or not at all.

so my questions is, the 1.8t a3 quattro are they any good or should i just wait a year or so for an s3?

Well im back in an AUDI :p
Media
225bhp 112k miles, FSH its got 7 owners but 6 of which are one big family, little bit of oil in the engine bay and its a bit rough idle. but it good, cant really do any mods as i cant get insured but will be fitting some gauges to keep an eye on oil and maybe some engine bay tidying. the wheels need a big refurb

112 on the clock, looks like it's done half that

Putting yourself in a vulnerable position buying a tt

You might find your urine being extracted from you on a daily basis

Cheers, i cant modify it at the moment due to insurance will have to wait till april, but im just tidying etc.
fitting a head unit with hands free and custom phone mount today.
will be giving it a big service and some gauges installed in the vents.
n249 and pcv deletes, also refurbish the wheels and paint them black

Nice tt Tim nice set of wheels and coilies sorted 👍
