hi, just to introduce myself
i recently bought an audi a4 s line b7 model, 2.0 TDi on an 06 plate (estate)
here she is

completely standard, with a set of 19" RS4 alloys
just needs some advice in term of what the car comes with
speakers? i know some audi have BOSE, how do i tell?
interior trim? i have non leathers, and the steering wheel hasnt got an S Line badge, is this normal?
headlights? im looking at some brighter xenon/HID units, or seen there is a retro fit conversion

i use to own a 550bhp subaru impreza
but the toy was sold last week

appreciate any help

Welcome to the Forum. Car looks sweet and quite different from your Scooby! It's standard? Won't be for long if you stay on this forum! hehehe If you had a Bose unit the speakers would be branded on the door speakers...and I think the power amp in the rear offside wheel arch inside the boot area, should be Bose branded too. I have the standard "council'" version in mine, and it's more than adequate for my ears! Sorry, can't confirm the S Line details as I don't have one. but I would have thought if it was S line spec you would have it branded on the steering wheel and the rear door trims bump strips, but don't take my word fr it...someone will be along soon to help you out.

Good Luck,
A

Aye, anything is better than Subaru's cd radio.....you'll feel you have new ears now! hahaha I have a petrol but lots of Forum members have remaps, egr delete's etc....hang fire someone will be along shortly with advice on that diesel malarky. My understanding that they do improve mpg abit, but as you enjoy the extra horses you'll have a heavier right foot! Having a diesel you also have the option of diesel box like DTUK's. I had one on my old car and they are highly recommended too.

just spent too much money on it, and dont drive it enough to make it worth it
where is the best place to buy a splitter/lip? ive seen ebay ones, and ive heard of a seat cupra one. any links?

wiley

Fair play, most eBay splitters are poor quality, best bet is to pick up a Cupra R splitter from a Seat dealer although they've skyrocketed in price recently (no doubt taking advantage of demand as so many people pick them up for other cars).

The Cupra splitter is dead easy to fit, even for a fumble-fingered idiot like me. The part number is S1ML805903, and should cost around £45 from your nearest Seat dealer. Here's what it looks like when fitted to an SE front bumper:

not all s line models have a badge on the steering wheel, mine didn't.

Welcome to the site Wiley.

If any oem technology is required, give us a shout as we supply/fit :)

(Thanks Sandra)

Welcome to the site Wiley. Congrats on buying the car, she looks mint :)
With regards to the Re-Map, you are most likely not going to get better economy. There is a couple of ways to get more power from your car, and that's either to :
a) do an ECU Re-Map - that basically involves removing the ECU and having the parameters downloaded and sent off to a place where they will re-configure them. This option will give you higher BHP and more torque in your car.

b) Fit in a chip - it's when you install a so-called "chip" which increases fuel pump pressure, and as well as the previous type, will give you more BHP + torque.

The advantages of those is that you get increased bhp and torque, however you are most likely not gonna improve your fuel consumption (if you could combine the two, this would have been done at factory :D

It really all depends on what you're looking for to get out of your motor. (typical increase in the bhp is around 30 )

To answer your other question regarding the S Line steering wheel, I have an A4 B7 2.0 TDI with S Line but only the exterior package. And as such, I don't have the S Line steering wheel.
