Ordered on 10th August and due late November on an Sline (as signature) some one else on here ordered Sline similar time to me and got a similar delivery from same dealer so 3 1/2 months was right in August, dealer told me they were improving slightly last time I spoke to him.

I ordered mine (S line manual) 27th July. Was originally given 2nd week of Jan 2014. Then received a call on 13th September saying my car will be ready 20th September. Went from 4 1/2 months to just over 7 weeks. Couldn't complain with that.

Ordered my S3 S Tronic August 15th and have received a scheduled build week of 46 (11th November)

Ordered my s-line 2 weeks ago, haven't got a build date yet but have been told that it should be delivered some time in February.

Confirmed my order for Saloon, S-Line, S-Tron on September 25th, lease company have said delivery last week of Jan 2014. The Saloon is being built in Hungary though so might not relate to other A3's?
I ordered at the end of July, with originally being told that the car would be built end of Sept/Early Oct for an early Nov deilvery. (4 months). I then upgraded to the 184PS engine, which brought it forward 5 weeks, to an end of Sept Build, Mid Oct Collection. The car was built Mid Sept, and I picked up 4th October, so another week or so off! About 9 weeks from Order to Drive away, which I was quite impressed with!
Ordered back in early August and got a build week of 38. However, still not heard anything more from the dealer, (as would expect it to be in the country by now).

Thanks - yep defo will. Typical lead time for delivery post build-week (from what people have said on this forum) seems to be about 3 weeks or so. When I last spoke with the dealer, they mentioned it could take up to 5 weeks, (although I'm guessing this is just to cover themselves in case there is any delay).
They really should have an online order-status checker, much like the one VW have!
A3 S line ordered in June, it's built and on route from Germany so expecting about a week to go
Funnily enough just had a phone call from the dealer and we pick it up on Monday 14th

I ordered mine on the 2nd July 13 and got a build week of 36 (2nd Sep), picked mine up on the 20th September, so around 2 & half months for me, I suspect ordering manual gives quicker build time, as well as dealer allocation of course.
Ordered a SB S3 lat Monday an I got build week 5 with a note saying expecting to come forward.
I ordered my S3 (manual box) at the start of September. Given a build date of week 50 (9th Dec). Spoke to Audi today and it is still week 50 build

Ordered mid June and had week 47 - amended order at end of June to add on audi sound system and got build week 50. Still no change to date so should have it around mid January.
I ordered last weekend and had a phone call today to say mine had provisionally slotted into build week 3. I'm going for a 1st March collection though so as long as it doesn't move any later I'm happy

Year, mileage, service history and condition far more important than reg for car value, infact I'd say that there is little point waiting for a specific registration plate if increasing car value is your aim as the improvement in real life value is miniscule if any.

Not so much bragging rights. But increased value yes. The sales guy said it would likely be delivered mid Feb, if I take delivery then within 2 weeks it's 6 months older, which coming to selling on will make a difference.

Build week confirmed 43 (two weeks time), with delivery to dealer 3/4 weeks later, so around 22nd November for delivery.
If that works out will be eleven weeks from order placed to delivery, which will be the quickest I have ever received a new car from a factory order.

I can understand why you want to wait being that close to a new reg plate, but it's really psychological rather than actual value adding.

I just don't understand why my car is so delayed compared to others on here who have ordered S3 s Tronics. I ordered mine mid July with an unconfirmed build week of 3 for delivery in Feb. Grrrrrr
Prob because the garage you ordered from had less slots to use for the A3 model or they have sold to many A3's they need to fulfill.

i think at 8 month is the longest wait I have seen ! Although the S3's can be nearly as bad, Audi will lose sales with those sort of lead times and rightly so.
Depends what you mean by sales. If the order books are always kept full 8 months in advance I don't see how they will lose any sales
Heard from dealer that my vehicle has arrived and am heading up to collect it on Wednesday. Will be approx 10 weeks from date of order to date of delivery, (ordered early August).
