Jardo's 'Journey to quattro' - My Story...

You're from Stokey too? Prawn is too! I think we live pretty close to each other in that case (Beggarwood area)

Born and raised.

I live next to the Hilton. Maybe we should meet up for some butt secks and Audi chat. Who's this Prawn guy? Seen his name about on Facebook groups.

I think I might have seen you around? What wheels have you got?

I like the stubby bum on A3's, they look a little cleaner.

The only S3 parts on him are the seats, so not too much chopped and changed.

Anybody is welcome to a day on my drive playing cars, as long as they provide biscuits and cigarettes.

firstly the car is looking CLEAN mate, I like! Now Jojo is a legend, the title made me lol after first being intrigued. And how many cigarettes and biscuits do you want to clean my a3 and m3???

I just Can't get into the whole detailing thing, I've tried and I love the results I get and spent quite a bit of cash on various products but it boils down to the fact I have eczema and it just aggravates my hands even wearing gloves so I can't get motivated to clean my cars now :-(.

Cleans cost a packet of Marlboro, a pack of microfibers and a 4 can of RedBull.

All welcome haha.

How's about 2 x twenty decks of Marlboro , 2 x packs microfibres, 4 x 550ml red bulls and you do it in a thong ! Lol

Cool man, I am mental busy in September due to work. But October is good, we'll get it sorted :)

Matey I know the feeling, work for me is silly busy also, but October is good for sure, are your wheels s4 wheels?

As long as the coilovers use standard top mounts it will fit all models of the 8L chassis.

picture stealer lol.

I would normally do a better pic with my Canon SLR, but this will do as a picture from work!

normal price of £112 posted.

I organised the group buy and got them for £73.87 a pair

Any more group buys going on

Next month is going to be a stupid month.

MOT is due, tax is due, I need a set of tyres, I owe Paul a load of money, ADI, solid subframe bushes...and now I'm contemplating a Forge baffled sump.

Opinions on going baffled sump or just removing, cleaning replacing pick up pipe and resealing what I have.

Unless this is going to be a motorsport car and heavily abused on track, I would just stick with the OEM sump

yea, to be honest, i ran without a baffled sump for 2 years, i always overfilled the sump by about 10mm and never had any issues. it's £200 that could be spent better elsewhere at this stage in it's evolution i would say.

MOT today.

New head lights.

Borrowed some wheels off Prawn to keep me legal until I decide what to do with wheels and tyres.

Looks pretty awesome on those tbh. Much better than the other ones.

Anyone good with PhotoShop? I wanna see what those wheels would look like in white.

Jardo, your car looks "da bomb" (as what the cool kids say these days). Why did you get new headlights? Were they brand new or just replacements from a facelift? They look damn crystal-clear.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I really like them and really appreciate your comments.

I have been very fortunate to have been sent through a tester box from a very snazzy company, I can't name the product yet because it hasn't been released. But the reason my car looks so black is certainly due to the wax it has just had applied, I will reveal all next week but for anybody with a non metallic black car this wax is unholy. And costs less, whilst being safer on your paint than a professional machine polish.

These wheels have got me thinking I might like a set of black BBS CH's or Rotas. It looks very mean!

The lights were supposed to be new genuine, but turned out to be Depos. They look exactly as the genuine lights though.

Either of those wheels would be awesome. They are the only ones I would want, specifically the Rota Blitz or R-Spec.

Interested in hearing about the wax.

Those wheels are so black I can barely see them in those pics. Are they TT wheels? Why don't you just get a set of TT wheels as they look so good and are mega cheap to pickup. I've got 2 sets, black (road) set cost me £200 with new tyres and my red (track) set were £120 without tyres but I had a set of AD048s for them.

Yup, just black TT wheels. I have covered them in shoe polish to cover the orange poking through, nurburgring barrier scuffs and brake dust...haha.

I don't like the rounded face of TT wheels, I wouldn't ever sell my S4 reps so just need a set of black wheels which I like and look smart as winter wheels.

Not sure. Depends how much I get paid at the end of the month haha.

I think your car looks wicked with the TTs on and for the sake of maybe £150 they make great cheap winter wheels.

Ebay of all places.

You can get them for £86, I paid more because I'm an idiot.
