Advice please, I am experiencing a stutter on acceleration with my 2.0TFsi. The stutter appears to happen when the turbo spools up at about 2200rpm. After a brief stutter it then dissapears and all is well. This happens in all gears at roughly the same revs. Any ideas? Preferably cheap ones??

Dual mass sticking together slightly ( I have the same problem on my 1.9tdi) only does it under full load at either 1500 or 2500rpm I can't remember.

Does that mean I'm looking at a clutch replacement in the very near future or is it going to be ok for a while? thinking pennies and current lack of :sadlike:

or you could go it looked at in person as
what ever we on here guess at could not be the issue

It could be your impulse sensor. This is also known as the G28, speed, engine rev or crankshaft sensor. Mine caused a stutter or hesitation around the same revs. The oil filter housing had leaked hot oil over it, causing a fault. It's located just back and down a bit from the housing, with a lead and grey plug connector just by it. Tricky to remove, even once the allen bolt is withdrawn, so the dealer did it. Nothing showed on VCDS by the way. The sensor is 06A906433G, cost £120.78 plus an hours fitting & road test. I did look at getting a new one off Ebay, but the dealer advised not due to lack of warranty on part (Audi give 12 months). Mine still has a small oil leak, not sure where it's coming from!

Let us know how you get on.

Point taken Bez but with pennies tight I was hoping it was a common or known fault. Diagnotics cost money and from past experinece even then it's not an exact science and you can end up spending wads chasing a fault.

Going to try and find a reliable indy and get them to have a look when I have my engine mounts replaced.

Thanks for the feedback guys, and I appreciate the lack of p*ss taking over the typo in the title!! :icon_thumright:
