Gizmo's S3 8L round two...

I wanted to use server cabinet clips like my first headlight but after looking at the actual clip it would need some distance for the motor to move when adjusting so it would just pop out... Do you have S3 headlights?

No they are the standard A3 lights... The projector globe is much larger on mine than on the S3's... The clip I used was roughly the same size as the plastic ones and would sit the same distance as the plastic ones so I'm happy! Also I don't have motors to adjust the light level so that must make a difference.

Other headlight finished up this weekend, stopped at my local dealership to collect some small bits and bobs that are missing :D

Yesterday at Sidey's house we did boost leak tests and I found my TIP has a tear in it... At the bottom where it tightens onto the scroll so need to get a replacement for that...

Not much happening currently as we just purchased our first house and moving in month end! Will finally have a garage to work in :arco:

Got some small updates for now, Installed most of the AEM watermeth kit, Tank is located in the rear quater similar to what miggz did and controller and arm switch in the lower dash panel under the steering. I layed the festo piping in the car... I just need to do FMIC then I can wire up the pump and install the nozzle.

Test fit

Brackets

Plumming

Used the old rear sub connector block so I could remove the lower panel with no hassles

Lower panel reinstalled

Also remove the Preamp out the stock woofer enclosure an put it into a casing I had lying around to keep the rear speakers alive.

Then ill be replacing the Vibe Liteair splits located in the front with some SPL Dynamics SD5.2 so A-pillars will be redone.

Thanks dude! I wanted to mount in engine bay but after going over the instructions for Snow, AEM and Devils-own I decided rather to keep them as close as possible as they mentioned if you mount the pump in the front you would need a additional solenoid to feed it.

yeah when i originally did mine they also said i might need a solenoid but after Carl said he never needed one i decided to just go with it, the delay without the solenoid is like 1 to 2 seconds so i just lived with it. iv also installed a 1 way valve in the line between nozzle and pump

This weekend was pretty much car weekend :D Put in some good hours on the engine bay even thou it still looks the same lol!

First up removed most of the PCV system to start with the catch can install and gave the intake and injectors a good scrub, also replaced intake gasket, personally I think its the wrong head on my car :lmfao:

Injectors & Manifold all fresh

Then it was time to relocate the N249 so opened the coilpack harness up and pull the N249 wires back, mounted and out of the way.

Fuel lines replaced and kinda look oem :p

Installed my powerflex bushes on dogbone quick

My car has had lifter noise when warm since I have purchased her, So Sidey came over yesterday to aid while we serviced the Intake lifters and having a few beers... Getting my new gaskets today and Torx set and I broke two of mine trying to remove the cam caps :keule:Pretty fun job

Busy stripping the lifters apart

Time to oil and reassemble, Tonight I shall retorque the cam caps and start smoothing my valve cover before it goes in for powder coating :D

More updates laters

After doing lifters I got stuck into the valve cover and started smoothing it out, removing all the studs and valve cover brakets. Will send the intake, valve cover, strut brace and Throttle body in next week to power coat.

Will be using Red and sandpaper matt black.

Will update when done :)
