A3 Sportback Headlight Bulbs

I've put a post up called indicator bulbs on this page or even the second page , I've just bought new bulbs allround for mine, I've gone for osram night breakers which are cheaper than the ones you've posted, there are a few other suggestions in there aswell

if you wanting to see the road, then i probably wouldn't buy these.
It only says about 'styling' and not better visibility etc

JJ

Had osram Night breakers, yellow as fuarkkk. Philips dimond vision blue were white :) give them a try

Guys,

went with the Cobalt Blue 11 bulbs in the end. A steal at £12.95 with free matching sidelights.

Shall i post an update once they arrive?

Wernt that impressed with them tbh, same look as a set of ebay i originally had in for like £6 lol

JJ your absolutely right. They didn't really improve the visibility at all but they did give the white look.

Wish HID's weren't so much hassle.

i wish i could just put, a cheap £20 HID kit in, like i did on my focus and not blow all my electronics up.... lol.

Who needs wipers anyway when i have Rain-X on my screen!

JJ.

Haha, exactly!

So to pick this back up, are the Osram Night breaker bulbs the ones to go for?

I think the side lights are the same H7 so does that mean you need to buy x4?

Cheers

H7 is main, full and fog for mine, (05 A3) so i bought 6 bulbs :p

But im sick of halogen bulbs, they all look rubbish which ever you buy, and i will be saving for a set of audi Xenons! (sometime)

JJ.

Thanks JJ,

Ok, so Xenon converstion can be done but is that through a face lift upgrade (bumper, headlamps etc)?

Cheers

I see, I thought that the new facelift a3 had Xenons.

I have the same car as you. As the light is getting worse I want to sort this out.

You might see from another post that I want update my 05 TFSI with aloys to make it look a bit nicer. I did want to upgrade the front but that looks mega bucks.

it wont dramiticly increase car value so i wont bother wit bumper, but xenons will actually help in resale, especially if OEM.

Ok, this is where it gets confusing (for me anyway)

I see some say discharge and whats the OEM?

That would suit me better getting Xenons if its a straight fit but i doubt it's that simple?

Anyone else have the problem of the beam pointing really high when they've replaced the bulbs?

No mine are as before , you definately clipped them in on the 3 prongs?
I used a mirror to see if they were seated properly.

You need to purchase xenon adapters from kufatech, if you wanna go OEM xenon (or bi-xenon), then you must purchase the headlights themselves, and some coding with vcds needs to be done. Fitting auto-leveling and headlight washers to legally have them.

Is it as easy to just buy aftermarket headlights and just buy the genuine audi ballasts and fit them underneath? or does it not work like that lol
