Anyone using any of the Super diesels for there new A3 TDI, eg Shell, BP.

Several threads on this already including a recent one. Try searching for "what diesel should I use" by daveotto.

John.

I'm a cheapskate using the normal stuff from Texaco. I will have a search for Dave's thread on super diesel etc...

I am currently using supermarket (Tesco ) diesel but plan to try the higher grade stuff once the engine has bedded in and I am getting a relatively consistent mpg figure so the comparison is valid. As i normally only fill up every 2.5 - 3 weeks might be few weeks before i put the hi grade stuff to the test.

Tesco where we stay have Bio Diesel advertised at the pump up to 10% Audi clearly states NOT TO USE BIO DIESEL
Nove to BP shell or other sooner if I were you.

100% biodiesel, yes... 10% is hardly going to make much of a difference

Exactly, any diesel engine worth its salt should be able to use the most commonly brought diesel. Stands to reason otherwise we'd be hearing of thousands of cars having engine problems including Audi's
