2.0 TFSI Remap

Which part of the bodykit? I had problems a year ago with boot spoiler coming loose and a sat nav issue apart from that nothing they are fantastic cars and made to last.
do you know who has the best price for Dunlop tyres the cheapest I found them was £206 Audi are charging £300 rip offs :asskicking:

I have had the rear lip spoiler come loose on several occasions but now is properly stuck down with some "special stuff"
The bodykit on both sides behind the front wheel was loose and not secured to the body of the car.
Infront of both side of the rear wheels the bodykit was loose there and you could see a gap down it.

When i first got the car i got problems with squeaky window rubbers which was caused by the cleaning products Audi used to clean it with which was resolved by spraying silicone lubricant spray on them.

Regarding the tyres my mate who has a garage did mine for me i think it was about £850 inc vat fitting etc ..

That's a lot of things to go wrong did you buy it brand new?
And is the price for all 4 tyres fitted dunlops ?

Brand new, 21 miles on the clock when picked up.
And yeah 4 band new dunlops.

95% of dealers will tell you that it is a danger like they did with me. But they already know i have had it remapped they could tell when they collected it, that's when i didn't have the SPS.
If the car needs a software update whilst at a service they will carry it out, so before a service tell them you don't want a software update because this will override the remap and clear it, If they do clear the remap then it will cost £60 to re download from your Revo dealer again.

Many thanks for the info. Suspected a response like the from the dealer, am still thinking this over.

Regards.

Hi. I thought I'd log on and give you an update on the remap.
Well, the car went in yesterday for the stage 2 remap at Revolution. After fitting the Milltek, filter and blow off valve I got a call saying the ECU was locked and they couldn't write the map unless they sent it away to be unlocked. I thought Audi locked these post 2010 but it seems its locked on my 2010. On top of this, they couldn't refit my valance as I need the 3.2 dual outlet valance to fit around the Milltek.
so now I'm driving around with 2 massive shiny exhaust pipes exposed to the elements and my hand some car looks broken :(

Im gonna drop the car off and leave it with them for a few days so they can get this map done.

in the meantime, I'm going to pop into a few body shops and see if they can cut my old valance and refit it as a temporary measure and nip over to Audi and order a 3.2 s line valance.

Im so frustrated!

Exhaust sounds really good though.

Hi Pablo bit of a shame they couldn't sort it all I'm sure they will get it sorted no pics of the car ?

Hi mate. Yeah, its a shame but it'll get done soon. As far as the pictures are concerned, every time I wash the car it rains! I'll give it another go in the morning.

It's such a great car and I feel the difference in power with the mods already. Just need the map to get all the benefits!

The exhaust has this really low rumble to it. I love it!

Oh, I forgot to mention, my local body shop trimmed the old valance and refitted it until the proper valance arrives from Audi on Tuesday. £60 for the new one which isn't bad...

"The ECU was locked and they couldn't write the map unless they sent it away to be unlocked."

Yep the ECU is locked, before you get a remap it is best to ring around to see the people who have the right equipment to take the ECU and remap it that way, otherwise as you as said it will have to be sent away.
Hopefully it will be done for you soon though.

Yahoo!

I collected the remapped car from Revolution this morning and it's awesome.
i was surprised though that they couldn't give me a read out of gains made as they have no rolling road. I do trust them, I've had loads of work done there in the past and the car feels loads more powerful.

The Milltek has a heavier, bassier timbre but it's not loud unless the car is higher up the rev range. It pulls in every gear ghosting past cars when overtaking and the throttle is responsive. It's really eager to accelerate when i drop it down the gears too. It's fast without the drama of the Type R I came from. It feels like a grown up sports car!

does anyone know of a reliable way to test 0-60 times?

im looking at a finding a subtle rear wing next...

Paul

Forgot to mention: it's a Stage 2 remap with estimated 40% increase in power. I'll have to find a local dyno. I'm hoping for 250/260 :)

Thanks for letting us know and glad you like the remap :)
As your car is Fwd it will be hard to test 0-60 with wheel spin. But with a quattro it is pretty straight forward, just get a passenger to stopwatch you do it on a straight piece of quiet road and test it a few times and you will get a rough estimate.. It is best showing the digital speed digits so it is more accurate for the passenger to stop it on 60 mph.

Thanks buddy!

Take it down to Evotune in Durham and put it on his Rolling road.

Had mine on today and was well impressed as it was up 25bhp / 22lb/ft (std car).

Hi guys,

Have a couple of questions. I have an Audi A5 2.0 TFSI 211hp. Had a Revo Stage1 remap installed but didn't purchase the SPS+ switch at the time of install. I have recently picked up a switch off the bay, now will this be okay to use with my car? And would I be able to use the extra pre-sets on the switch to fine tune the map altering Fuel, Timing and Boost even though I'm only running a stage 1?
