Ok, so I'm running standard suspension on my 2012 S3 with 12mm spacers on the rear and even with the arch screw removed, I still rub. That's without anyone in the rear too. Wouldn't dare put anyone in the back! There's a build up of rubber around the tyre now.
Thinking about swapping my front 10mm to the rear but I'm not sure if it'll look daft.
Would fitting stiffer H&R springs stop this?
Or switching to stretched tyres next time?
Or maybe brand of tyre might help if the tread pattern is different at the top of the side wall?

I know spacers is a well covered topic but I thought I'd be safe from chub rub when I bought them.

Cheers in advance guys.

Will there be any undesirable effects of running 12mm front and 10mm rear?

You want rear to sit wider mate i say you need to change tyres pal lower profile with tiny stretch

No it won't. difference is minimal, and if you even had a wider track on the front it would help the traction.

Can't be on standard wheels?

I'm on standard 17's at the mo, with 12mm spacers on the back and lowered pretty much all the way on AP coilovers and I get no rubbing issues, even with 2 people in the back.
