2013 Audi S3

Got a call from my dealer a few days ago to confirm my S3 SB has been brought forward slightly for around the last week of November...

Originally it was mid december, and i placed the order on the 8th August, they said i was pretty lucky due to an allocation they had for before the new year....oh and another local dealer called me today to tell me they now have an S3 in the showroom, so i'm gonna pop down tomorrow and have a look and maybe ask them to fire it up...
 
Just on the off chance... Is this a north west dealer. I'm also looking to see one for real.
 
I guess I should count myself lucky then that a) I've already seen an s3 sportback driving on the roads and b) have two three door S3's at my local and reasonably small audi garage! (Estoril and Metallic black)
 
Hey fellas

The showroom that has the S3 is Wakefield Audi in West Yorkshire, even though it's a small town the dealership is huge and newly built. I ordered my S3 from Leeds Audi, so Wakefield are probably expecting me to go in wanting to order, problem is that they were quoting March to me, so Leeds got the order.

Further to my previous post about official S3 SB launch - a second dealer has confirmed to me now that 21st September is the offical S3 SB launch date and that their demo cars will be available after that for test drives.
 
I got confirmation from my dealer yesterday, that my S3 Sportback is getting built next week as planned!! So, if anyone wants to see one in Nottingham in a few weeks, just let me know :)

Not very quick then, but will be the new reg and hopefully after the worst of the winter has passed.........so the time doesn't bother me.

Although I thought that winter would have passed when I picked up my S5 in March and there was two weeks of snow, ice, salt and grit to welcome it!

Okay, today's update is a rather large improvement.
Not sure why the salesman was so pessimistic yesterday, but the admin team sent me a copy of my order with a build week on it today - 201345, with delivery expected 9th December....

Not quite the SE but Swindon Audi have a S3 SB.

Hi Bleedsoff, Huntingdon Audi have a black 3 door ready for test driving. It's a bit cheeky bit I test drove it the other day (wow what a car) and I already have one on order from Maidstone audi. Oh, Maidstone and Southend both have a demo coming in this week. I'm told they are not allowed to uncover them until 21st.
had a call from my dealer tonight, week 41 build date and delivery first week in November. Think I'm the only one buying a white one from what I see on here!

Hi Davejinx, out of interest, when did you order yours? I gave a deposit about two months before the order book opened to ensure an early delivery, I think they just held on to my money and did nothing for a while, I'm build week 42 delivery first week of November.
should have yours mid October then? Bet ya can't wait!!!

I was there today at Swindon Audi getting my A1 serviced and they totally fobbed me off saying they didn't have any coming in and that their launch car looks like it might have been sold.....must have been this one! All I wanted was to see one in the flesh! Grr...

To top it off they then service washed my A1 when I told them 3 times not to wash my car ! So god knows what horrors they have inflicted on my paint. Not a great dealer at all.

Very hacked off as really want to see one in the flesh before ordering. They could have had a sale today !

I saw that car last Wednesday. Actually posted up a few pics of it in this thread! Looked nice!

Hi T3ryp,

Placed the order 24 June. Was initially quoted week 41 for build (within 2 days of ordering), but after a few weeks they called to say it had been updated to week 39. Can't fault Nottingham Audi so far.

Really can't wait, but I've been like this for months now! Not sure if this forum's helped, or just made me all the more impatient :)

I guess it depends on who you talk to at the dealers, they want to keep me happy at the moment as i've just rejected my previous car with them and I have told them that i'm willing to have an S3 SB through them, but i am prepared to go else where.

They did say that they are not realy allowed to show the S3's off until the official launch date.

That makes sense! Well done you for getting them to show you one.

Despite Swindon Audi's size they seem to have not a massive allocation of build slots. They are quoting build week 10 at the moment to me.

They told me week 10 as well, they are still waiting for conformation of some orders and they were place a couple of weeks ago.

They also said that the UK was allocated 10400 A3's and they have all been sold and Audi has now had to allocate more A3's to the UK, probably why everyone is getting delivery dates of March.

+1 ordered Monsoon as well.

But really like the look of the S Line alloys - the S3 alloys are too dark for my liking, and too similar to Monsoon.

Anyone have any pics of a 3dr in Monsoon yet?

Totally agree, although the S3 alloys are exclusive, i felt they didn't fit in with the whole estoril blue/silver contrast look i am trying to achieve...will replace the S-line alloys with 19's eventually which will also be a hyper silver finish. No really bothered that the S line wheels are available on both the S3 and S-line, the S3 has quad exhausts and ali wing mirror housing....oh and 300bhp. Each to their own as they say though.

There's some nice pics of an Estoril 3dr with S Line alloys (and red calipers) on mobile.de. Shows the contrast of dark blue and silver wheels really well - looks amazing!

It's beautiful, but i'm personally not a fan of red stitching with a blue exterior. I get the fact they probably tried to match the red brake callipers with the red stitching but it's slightly over the top for me.
 
Cheshire Oaks Audi have a monsoon SB with a shift; this will become their demo in Oct, so they say.
Just been to see it as my SB is confirmed as build week 40, so not long now.

Thanks for the reply guys. I actually was in the Tonbridge Audi today. Was walking round the showroom and saw a Red Sportback S3 that had just been delivered. Think its there demonstrator. Had a quick look round it was really nice. Then asked to enquire about placing an order and the reply was we are giving no discounts and looking for March delivery atm. I decided I wouldn't waste there time then. They also said I couldn't have a test drive as I was not going to place an order with them.
