right as a few folk have read ive got myself a new set of clocks.
my car was a base model 110 TDi so it never even had an oil or volt gauge and I felt deprived..
so ive got a new set of clocks on route from an early 97 TDi quattro so it has all the extra bits on them
now its the one with no numbers on the clock which mines is the same.
so heres the info im needing..
I know once I plug them in it will give me warnings regarding washer level and the oil temp wont work. so has any one got a pin layout on to let me know what I need to add and where.
also ive got a stalk from a qts but it was removed from a face ift so I presume I need a PFL one. does anyone have one they would be willing to swap me? or sell me
also any one local willing to adjust my miles? not a major problem I cant see them being higher but I would like to keep my miles correct.

heres the new clocks

If you can wait till the edingboro audi meet id be happy to swap these over and correct the milage etc to suit.

ScottB5 has done a lot on dash insert buggering abouts - there was a post somewhere about it but I Can't remember what it was called!

The pin outs by Aragorn in my thread should be the same for yours and the new clocks.
Minus the gauges you are missing.

Most of it should be pretty much plug and play I think apart from the sensors you are missing.

I dont think the pinouts i posted were for type 1 clusters?

I'll see if i can find them though.

The stalks changed in ~97, you probably have the earlier type. 98 onwards all use the same one, so the TQS part wont fit. I'll get you the PN of the stalk you need too.

Your not too far away from me if you need any help getting it working i'm sure we can meet up and have a prod.

Ill try and see if the boy i got the clocks from still has the stalk. his car was also an avant so it will have the rear wash wiper option.

if you can get pinouts that would be great.
and cheers for the offer of help. I might take you up on that if I run into problems

After re reading, ignore that price in pm, if its just milage correction just meet me at that meet and prove your milage if i need to reduce it, should only take a few moments, i was thinking you needed to key match etc, but immo1 i dont think you do.

im pretty sure the clocks will go in and allow the car to run for what ive read. as you say its immo 1.
I don't think you'll need to reduce it. my cars got 246k

well ive stuck them into see what will happen.. the miles on the is 230k my cars on 247k.. so that doesn't make a major difference.
im getting bulb warning, washer level, right hand indicator not lighting up on the dash ( ive tried changing the bulb ) and the air bag lights come on.. ( 01025 - Trigger for On Board Diagnostic Lamp: Malfunction ) and to top it off... the LCD is perfect..

ive only got 2 plugs behind my dash I don't have the 20 pin black plug.
I would like to get these working but I have a feeling there may be an issue with the clocks. hence the indacaitor and airbag light coming on.. unless anyone else has an idea? ive left them in the now as I would like to see if the MPG works

Any good?

yea im thinking ill double check the blue plug. as I know it was a bit of a pain to do and im seeing that that's the one with the airbag and turn signals on it.

the boy I got the clocks from did say one of the turn signal lights didint work..
I might ask him if his airbag light was on.
