Jardo's 'Journey to quattro' - My Story...

Brake info sounds really interesting, thanks Westy.

If I am honest I love these brakes as they are, and as such will be buying the highest performance pads and discs I can. Already I have had some great experiences with them, well worth the use of handbrake late at night and cleaning.

:)

This morning was a good morning.

Up early, which made me grumpy because I need a lay in.

Wheels were minging, after four days and 20 miles.

So I used the "blind test" product, a PH balanced wheel cleaner designed to protect any waxes and protect products on the wheels.

Hope it works!

It really really does! Best wheel cleaner I have ever used!

So I rinsed and washed the car, two buckets obviously and Hubiwash.*

Then used Sonax Xtreme detailed to bring it back up.*

Trims and recesses cleaned with 3:1 diluted Auto Finesse APC.

Then waxed with Angel Wax Desirable...which is outstanding!

Then glazed with AMD RaceGlaze, which spreads so well and comes off with no fuss.

Cleaned the glass with Gtechniq perfect glass.*

Blacked the plastics with Megs endurance and hoovered the inside and dressed the plastics with the Sonax detailer.

It looks good. :)*

And a cheeky edit.

Dull update I know.

:)

The unedited pics looks better IMO :p

Looks so clean - what mileage has she got under her belt?

Stop cleaning your car! Mine hasn't been done since July!

Dig it out, bring it to mine and we can get it on.

It will tick 125k tomorrow morning on my way to work, 124,997 at present.

You carry on pic whorin' it up

I know where to come when I need to find what products to use on my car to make it look like glass :) lol

Surprised you haven't gone for a full on S3 spoiler what with all the other S3 parts on the car or is it to much hassle to get it on there?

I like the stubby bum on A3's, they look a little cleaner.

The only S3 parts on him are the seats, so not too much chopped and changed.

Anybody is welcome to a day on my drive playing cars, as long as they provide biscuits and cigarettes.

Looking smart dude. Maybe even tidy enough to make me consider giving the Leon the love it so badly needs :icon_thumright:

Double thanks.

Mounts were epic, it's good that they have lived on having served you so well haha.

I don't know how I am going to get up to you to get these wheels, you haven't given me a list of goodies yet :)

Sorry bust at work, trying to find a run around. I'm going to sit down probably tomorrow night and make a list. Most parts will be coming off not this weekend but next.

You need these though

I know I need them.

I could probably get most of what you want for the arms for my old ones. Hmmmm...

Just depends how much I get paid really.

I could do with sorting out seats before ADI, and I have MOT and tax next month.

Looks nice and clean mate, you must put a lot of effort into keeping it that clean? Wish I could get mine clean like yours and many others I've seen

I put the effort in once every 6 months, then use quick detailers etc to keep on top of it. Wheels get cleaned 3/4 times a week, car gets washed once a week and sprayed over with quick detailer 3/4 times a week, interior get hoovered once a month and if you're dirty you don't get in.

Bonnet doesn't get opened. :)

I don't post the pictures for anybody else benefit, I just like documenting what I'm doing and giving people the chance to view it :)

Your car ALWAYS looks pimp, because it is generally. :)

The Brembos came off Prawns car, hence the orange. It goes well with the black.

-

Currently speaking to Brotek about trying some Angelwax Dark Angel which will apparently be even better than Desirable. Which is supposed to be one of the best waxes that non-millionaires can buy for black cars.

Mine looks crap as I haven't the first idea about detailing a car lol or the patience, at the moment I think the spiders are making a nice home in it lol
