My new S.Blue S3!!

How did you get on with the optics Boydie? Did you source 1

Yeah sourced one and offered one but decided against it - I've a wedding next year and 6 other ones to attend as well as holidays so if I turned up to the house with a new grill at £120+ I would have been booted lol

Plus, changing the grill would mean respraying the front bumper (as I hate the grey lower splitter with black grill), respraying rear valence black and refurbing my wheels to a darker shade. So all in all not much change from £700 probably if I went through with it

Do you know mate... I've just spent the last hr n half reading this thread and its been a superb read!

There is 1 conclusion that i've came up with after reading it all: You have far too much ****** money! Haha

all joking aside mate, car looks superb! I got a hold of a grill, like it makes the car more agressive looking and I actually quite like the contrast of the grey with the optics grill... Ties in the mirror covers nicely!

The project i've got coming up with the wheels is getting me slightly concerned though... I'm trying something i've not seen on a s3 before and maybe thats not a good thing, might be meaning it cant be done! I've sourced a set of 19's et43... Checked fitment and they're gonna stick out another 7mm out from yours and yours look borderline to the edge... Gonna stick on 225's 35's for the stretch though....

if I get it all sorted though, it will look the berries.... You took your car down the 35mm aswell?

Boydie In reg to THS engine mounts is there a lot of vibration through the steering wheel now? Also are the Front Wishbone Bushes worthwhile fitting?

None what so ever. There is extra engine noise which IMO sounds superb. A lot throatier if you know what I mean and banging through gears is so much better! The bushes, yes! Turn in is excellent and grip is so much better now than before! I haven't really experienced any understeer since having them installed and I have tested the car several times on particularly slippy round abouts that I know of!

Thanks mate - I do ok lol the car is only lowered 25mm on H&R springs!

I did Superpro ALK the other day and just cant stop being shocked how much better the car behaves now, such impressive change its not obvious at start but then you realise how freely the car goes through the corners when previously struggled to catch grip, ALK & ARB best mod ever, will do the front wishbone bushes next then to put a cherry on top:].

Should be ok but depends how much you are going to lower the car and the profile of tyre you plan to you.

My wheels are 8J wide so I have a 235 tyre on - maybe you should look into a 215 or 225 just to keep the edge of the tyre as far from the arch as possible.

Yeah mate, threse rims are 8.5 wide, i'm gonna stick a 225 on them with a bit of a stretch and i'm hoping its gonna be ok... these Glasweigan roads are **** though, so i'll prob be crying after a cpl of months haha

Coming up to 5 years of ownership, the time has come to part with my beloved 2007 Audi S3. I am the second owner of this car which was registered on 08/01/07, I bought it on 17/07/09 with 16,500 miles and have covered just over 86,000 miles.

The car is in exceptional condition for 7 years old and the miles. This is no garage queen, there are some marks on this car but this is to be expected at this age. In saying that, it is cleaned, washed, waxed and hovered on a regular basis and turns heads everywhere. It will be left in pristine condition for new owner.

It has Full Service History and has been meticulously maintained between Audi and VAG specialists. It has flown through MOT each year with compliments and is not due again until January 2015.

•Oil change every 8-10k
•Cam Follower changed every oil service (wear and tear item, best being on the safe side)
•Pollen filter changed every oil service

This car has been my daily driver for 5 years and I have driven it around the UK and Ireland with no problems and it has performed brilliantly. Considering the power and performance of this car, it will return plus 30mpg on a good run and you will expect to see plus 320 miles to a full tank of Super Unleaded. Town driving expect to see 25/26mpg but have fun!

The tax is £280 per year and is not due until January 2015.

All major services have been carried out with no expense spared, what the car has needed, it received. Parts replaced have been:

•Upgraded clutch, flywheel and release bearing in December 2012
•Intake manifold runner flap motor
•Xenon ballasts by Audi under warranty in 2009
•Coolant sensor 2014
•New MAF 2014
•Coil packs replaced by Audi under recall

Standard specifications list of the car:

18" Alloys
Xenon Lights
Adaptive Day Time Running Lights
Rain and Light Sensitive Wipers
Winter Pack
- Heated Seats
- Auto lights

Light Pack
- Interior reading lights

I moved from a 2.0TDI A3 to the S3 and it has brought a smile to my face since day one. The performance upgrades I have done have made this car into an absolute demon and never cease to impress me. The combination of noise from the intake and exhaust on full boost is addictive along with the handling makes this car an amazing all-rounder.

I will be extremely sad to see this go but I have had endless amounts of fun with it and want to move on and try something new.
Considering the extensive spec list and modifications to this car, I am prepared to let this car go with the majority of the performance modifications intact. All the extras roughly add up to £6,375 (based on receipts on the list above).

You will not find a more cared for, clean and honest S3 on the market with such an extensive spec list and for this, I am asking £13,500.

All paper work, receipts, stamps, tax and MOT discs available as well as the standard parts.

No time wasters or test pilots without valid proof of insurance – this car is 350bhp, four wheel drive and not for the faint hearted. The prospective new owner will leave with confidence and a massive smile on their face!

Genuine 19” BBS CH alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero 235/35/19 tyres available at extra cost.

Flat Bottom Wheel is not for sale.

Cherished registration not included in sale.

No part exchange on this vehicle

I live outside of Belfast:

20mins from Larne Port (roads there are fun!)
10mins from Belfast Port and City Airport
20mins from International Airport

I just hope the new owner has as much fun with this car as I have had over the last 5 years :(

Amazing how quickly time flies, it doesn't seem that long ago since you had the A3.

What are you getting next?

Good luck with the sale.

Staz, time has flown! The A3 is still in the family and I will hopefully be getting it to toodle about in until I find the perfect spec Sprint Blue S5 V8 :)

Wow, nice! I have always fancied one myself (in black) but I have no need for such a large car. I do want more cylinders though so I'm currently looking at Porsches. Will be selling my car soon too :icon_thumright:

Just thought I'd bump my old S3 thread as I feel I did a lot of modifications to this car that others may benefit from - been out of the Audi scene for a while until my wife bought a SB BE A3 and from just sifting through the threads I think this may be of benefit to some people!

Miss this car on a daily basis :(

Longtime no see or hear Boydie.

Did you ever go Big brakes on yours mate?

I still got mine and turning it into my project car :)

I didn't mate, kept the standard brakes on it which seemed to work fine for me. I never tracked the car otherwise I probably would have gone for R8 brakes to keep the OEM+ look about the car.
