Petrol / Diesel rear haldex controller differences

As per title really, one for the techies really, converting a petrol to diesel, just got a few doubts about the rear controller really, is it the same?? if not whats the differences, any help would be brilliant thanks

I've owned both-

1.8T sport quattro and now the TDI quattro both 8Ls

I would have thought the Haldex controller doesn't need to know the engine variant, surely?

It'll be working off traction from the abs sensors and torque information from somewhere... The coupling itself?

Doesnt matter what fuel, only thing that matters is wether not the cars have esp or not as the controllers are not transferable from esp to non esp and vise versa

Yeah the car has esp, all am doing is chaging from petrol engine to diesel engine, so i should be ok with the controller yeah??
