Ok so the what does everyone think about Audi dealerships in the north west?
Who's the best? What are your experiences with them and more importantly.....WHO GIVES THE BEST DEAL!!!

Don't know who's the best, but I went with Audi Manchester, they have been pretty good... so far

I've only experienced Carlisle Audi, and I couldn't recommend them enough!! Brilliant sales experience and the after sales experience I've received from the service advisors (especially Tracy) has been excellent! Will definitely go back :)

When I first started look at Audi though I went through to Newcastle and was point blank ignored!!!

I travel around the NW working for Audi and there are a few I can recommend, Crewe, Stafford, Carlisle are very good.

Ah right thanks for the info!
Just out of interest what makes them better than others in your opinion?

Crewe - Liars/Con-men.
Stoke - Liars/Con-men.
Warrington - Seem OK so far but waiting to catch a lie.

Oh.... I'm serious too, the way they treat their customers is plain and simple disgusting.

If you want any details then PM me, while I'm entitled to my opinion I am not on a smear campaign.

I just ordered mine from Liverpool Audi and got a really great deal but that's because our family are good friends with Jeff (Manager) and Shaun (Sales Rep)! But I'd still recommend them any day.

Manchester Audi rubbish !!! Avoid, we bought 3 cars in 3 years off the same salesman and on the last one we bought it came with free servicing, but guess what ? come its first service they didn't want to know and said we were liars !!!! Why would they treat a repeat customer this way !!!!

Stockport Audi oh dear !! When we took our RS3 in for the brake recall and its first service they didn't seem to have a clue kept me waiting for an hour when dropping off and was waiting an hour and a half on collection !!!!!
also a friend of mine is buying a brand new TT from them, when he went to look at one they said they had one in UK stock, he hears nothing for a week then rings the salesman twice and gets no responce, next thing he gets a call saying the car is coming from Germany and they will let him know when it arrives !!! Needless to say he is considering telling them to stick it !!

Why do these Audi dealerships think they can treat people in this way ???

Wow that's dreadful.... Not good news about the TT either seems like he's getting messed about alot!
I can't understand why they do this when people are loyal like yourself.

Which dealership do you have in mind for your next purchase??

I think you'll find mixed feelings from most people when it comes to dealers. As has been pointed out above, some salesmen are just lairs!

i have had good service and sales from Preson and Blackburn (same group as Carlise) but one time the sales guy at Preston (who was ment to be one of the best in the north west) really did put me off going anywhere near a dealer again! He was a con man and tried every sales trick in the book, not giving the keys back to our trade in car after giving us a price so we coun't walk off, trying to hide gap insurance in the figures even after I had said more than once I didn't want it.

but only a fee weeks ago, a different sales bloke while the was having a service and it was a great experience.

Not Sure as I'll be keeping the RS3 for a good while

The thing with Manchester Audi was that relations with said salesman (A senior one as well) were good up until I tried to book the 3rd car we bought off him in for its first service, it was then he turned calling us liars !! saying that the car was never subject to the free servicing at all !!, this was after the wife & I sat in front of him asking him at least 3 times during the sale process about the free servicing, to which he would say "don't worry when the service is due just ring up, it's all recorded with the car reg" what a lying sod !!

You'd think buying 1 x brand new S3 sportback, 1 x brand new S line A3 TDI and 1 x 6 month old S3 in the space of 3 years would constitute being a good customer ?????? And actually saying on collection of the last S3 that we would be back when the new S3 is released to buy 1 from him !!!

I even rang him after the spat several times regarding an RS3 and guess what ? got F**k all response from him.

Just think how many Customers must walk away from Audi, just because of their salesmen & women's attitude towards the general public !!!

I even put in a complaint to audi uk when I had the RS3 brake update done at Stockport Audi, and guess what ? No response !! Says it all really.

Always always get things like free servicing written down somewhere - they will weasel out of verbal agreements any way they can!

My current and next A3 are/will be from Macclesfield Audi from which I have had no bad experiences. Crewe Audi is on my doorstep but I will never set foot in there again after a real bad experience concerning my new car enquiry back in June.
I would rather travel an additional 20 miles than use Crewe. Winds me up now just thinking about it. Grrrr

Is Macclesfield good?

I totally agree. You should get the best service ever!! Avoiding manchester then lol

No issues with Macc at all so far.

Crewe.............. I went in there back in June at 9am, very quiet at that time, 2 sales guy's perched on a desk drinking coffee, so proceeded to have a quick look around an 8V they had in the showroom clutching my paperwork (Internet homework) then walked across to them greeting them both with a "good morning feller's" to which the only reply I got was "We are doing NO deals on A3's" Oh I thought this wont go to well and sure enough it didn't. So in the end after 45 minutes of crap I asked him to stop p*ss*ng about and get me some figures as I cant waste all morning listening to your waffle.

I went in willing to spend 20K with them and I came out fuming so after sitting on this issue for a few days I contacted Audi Customer Service and named and shamed him. A phone call from Crewe came that same evening with a 2K reduction on there offer, but I still bought from Macc who nearly matched the offer, they were £150 dearer but I was not prepared to give Crewe my business.

It must be who you deal with at Carlisle - when I tried them, they weren't interested. Went further afield to Lakeland Audi at Grange and couldn't believe the difference. Bought car from here and would definitely go back.

I'm about 30 mins from Lakeland Audi, Grange. Did you get a discount. I'm hoping to order an A3 in 2014.

Not much discount but I wasn't really expecting much off a new model. Got the sat nav free and a few goodies on delivery! They also let me use a courtesy car for a month after I sold my own car quicker than expected. If you want a discount, try all over the country. If you want great service, go to Lakeland Audi.

I've just got my S4 Avant, and I was insulted by Liverpool Audi with the p/x price on my X6 - went to another dealers (Boroughbridge/York) and their first offer was £4k more on the p/x.

I gave my specs on the car I wanted, I was getting partial matches despite listing the requirements as mandatory or optional.

I won't be touching Liverpool Audi, even if they are 5 miles from mine.

Wow that's a big difference! How come you travelled so far to York to buy? What about manchester and Preston etc?

They were the only ones who showed anything like an inclination to want my business, which I found a bit crazy. The others all promised to phone/email when they had something, they never did - yet I was watching the Audi site and new stuff was appearing every 48 hours. Only one seemed interested, so I travelled to get the right price and (what I think is) the right car. Perfect :D

That's crazy! I just bought from Liverpool Audi the other day with great service. That's surprising to hear such a low offer for your car. But then again we have a good relationship with the manager (Jeff) there.

Sales Manager, bald guy? If so, then he was one of the ones who low-balled me. I walked out in disgust. I emailed Audi Liverpool and the sales-guy to ask why they offered me such a low price and I gave them similar spec'd X6's as mine being sold for £10k more than they offered me. No reply. Nothing, not even an acknowledgment.

Complain about them to Audi UK. I'm sure they wouldn't like to hear of the terrible experience customers are getting under Audi's name...

Wow that's disgusting. But yes that's the guy. He seemed really friendly and happy when dealing with us.

They're all like that when they think that they can take your money!
I've learned that complaining only gets you a template letter sent with various details substituted - so I just tend to tell people of my experiences and then avoid like the plague. They could have had a customer for life if they'd treated me right, I told them that I'd had 5 straight BMW's (E36 M3, E53 X5, E46 M3, E60 535d and E71 X6) and I wanted an Audi as BMW messed me about on a recent MOT - and all my cars are all higher end ones. They seemed to be really keen for the deal, then offered me £19k.

Incidentally, my X6 is now up for sale at £27k and from what I've heard, a deposit has been taken as it is/was immaculate.

I've been to Cheshire oaks Audi which is local to me a few times and bought a part from them and they seem pretty helpful

I must admit PX prices at Manchester are terrible, several K lower than any other dealers I have PX'd at. Crewe offered me £23k for my Q7 and Manchester offered me £18k for the same car. I have bought 9 Audis over the years but only 1 from Manchester Audi. So it just shows you how terrible the PX's are.

Crewe and Stoke have always looked after me, although the head of Stoke Audi fell out with me after not buying my A7 from him, but he's an 4rseh0le. Just for the record Blackburn Audi were a bunch of crooks.

+1 for Crewe Audi

As above Manchester Audi are terrible, don't listen to your needs or wants and try to sell you everything in the showroom (imo).

Personally I think Cheshire Oaks Audi are the best I've used, always had very good discounts etc. from them and always excellent service.

Well guys, I know I've not posted in a loing time, but felt I had to on this occasion. As some of you may know, I'd originally wanted to order an A3 Sportback S-Line and an A1 S-Line for the wife, and ended up going with 2 VW's. Tried a number of dealers and my rating out of 10 would be thus :

Warrington Audi (where I live) - 0/10 - Totally crap, condicending, and up their own backsides. Told me if I would only order with some discount, then they would prefer not to quote !

Manchester Audi - 4/10 - Much better than Warrington, polite and courteous, until I mentioned discount, then everything changed - "discount....oh no, this is Audi, we don't discount". PX prices very poor.

Crewe Audi 3/10 - Quite patronising, and again didn't really seem to be interested in doing a deal. Lowest PX price.

Cheshire Oaks Audi - 4/10 - Again much like Manchester, quite polite, but waited 2 hours for a booked test drive, then to be told absolutely no discount on 2 cars ! (WTF). Never responded to my emails or phone calls to firm up on the quote and put it in writing, so I never bothered to contact them further.

Macclesfield Audi - 8/10 - By far the best of the bunch. Really polite, courteous, and genuinly wanted to try and get my business with some discount and sweetners, unfortunately no where near the package I got from VW, but highest PX price from any of the dealerships. Would certainly try them again in the future.

Pentreath Audi (Anglesey) 7/10 - Bit of a odd ball in this mix as I only dealt with them over the phone or email. Much like Macclesfield, tried to get the business, and I would think in person would be a good company to deal with.

Given the other responses, it quite amazing that some dealerships that I had very poor service from, rate quite highly with others, so I can only assume it's more down to the individual salesman, not necessarily the dealership ?

+1 for Carlisle

Bought current car from them and have another one on order there. No complaints as yet and have always been very quick to respond, helpful and sorted out any problems I've had.

I'm not a huge fan of Carlisle. 1 sales guy I spoke to told me were to stick it and pointed to the entrance and that where the exit is. when I questioned a price of a nearly new 8p a3 when It was covered in scratches, wheels kerbed and a few dents, Luckly I had been in the day before and seen another sales guy who in the end got a new car sale. But the service I get treated like I'm nobody. 1 person in particular thinks there better than everyone else. Well that's my opinion . Maybe my age but is my money different to anyone else's.

Wow thanks for the reply....a gr8 detailed reply!! Anyone had dealings with Preston?
It seems like Macclesfield is a front runner

Hmm, must depend on who you deal with. I must admit I was shocked when I first went in (being only 20 at the time) and was offered a 24 hour test drive by the Business Manager before I'd even expressed an interest in a car. Unfortunately my sales guy left the day I picked up the car so not sure what sort of experience ill get the next time.

Service have always been great with me and always want to do everything they can to keep me happy. Who thinks there better than everyone else if you don't mind me asking?

Noticed your from Carlisle, what car do you drive? Might have seen you about!
