As some of you may know after the rebuild i started getting some sump compression and my catch can started filling up within a week/ 1200km, and my drive way was looking like a petrol station with so many oil leaks.
Decided monday night that tuesday im stripping and pulling motor out!
that was monday, tuesday i pulled the motor apart, was leaking oil from the head gasket
thats what happens when a motor is under warranty and something goes wrong and they just reuse the parts!!! i mean really!!!!
i looked at the pistons and rings and to me they looked 2nd hand!!! the rings were so sharp you could take plaster off a wall! but instead of fighting and pointing fingers i decided to just sort it out and put new stuff in! i put OEM pistons and hastes rings in. Yosh was a legend and GAVE me a set of ARP head bolts he had spare.
then did some heat shielding around the brake booster lines and the aircon lines
motor rebuilt and ready to go in
finished up tuesday afternoon and was ready to go! went to work on wednesday and wednesday night repaired some vac lines, rerouted the catchcan pipes and fixed some things i missed.
ran on actuator pressure for the last 600km and no leaks or smoke and car was pulling pretty good!
put n75 back yesterday and the car is pulling like a boss!!!!
on wednesday im going to yosh for some logs and checks so got a few things i need to do before then!
tonight its fit my EBC blue and yellows on, tomorrow night ill do a oil change and a final run thru on the car and good to go!
o and waiting for mr prawny to send me a prezzie so i can make my new TIP
