Interesting design mate.
You any pics of your engine bay. I'm intrigued on how your routing TB and it pipework.

I think it might be for an A4 or other model with a longitudinal engine.

With a porting tip from Andrew, I was able to get the porting done on the runners.

What I started with - I know, i know, it looks like bird crap :)

Finished off the removing the welding to get the shape I wanted.

A little bit more work with a smoother bit, and the result.

Wish there was a tool at the workshop with a longer nose so I could polish the inside of the runners but this will have to do.
Hopefully get the IAT and some vac ports done tomorrow, then can weld it up and start thing about getting this engine in.

Looks sexual :D

easy tiger

I wish I smoothed the plenum on mine now but it's just had a fresh powder coat

I didn't plan on smoothing it off when I started out. After doing the welding myself with the spool welder, it needed to be sanded round the edge. So filled the X in and smoothed the top off. Underneath looks like dogs breakfast with all the welding for vac ports.

The new charge pipe with DV outlet located near the turbo outlet. I have used an aluminium bend to get the charge pipe to meet up to the turbo outlet, so there will only be a straight silicone coupler off the turbo and no 90deg silicone coupler.

A little bit of eye candy, for those who are into this kind of stuff

I can only finish off the TIP once the engine is in the car. I need to double check the position it sits at with the filter attached. Then I can work out the DV fitting.
Then hopefully its a quick engine swop over and get ready to

Operation engine swap is due to commence on Wednesday evening :eyebrows:
It will be hot but I can't wait any longer. Starting my new job on 1st September and won't have the time to do an engine change over the weekend.

Wahoo :D

Its going to be a monster.....will be nice to show some of the people in dubai you dont need a supercar to go fast :racer:

Well its been a testing last few days. Seems I was a bit to eager in my previous post :(
Found a few issues, had a leak in the decat pipe, had a oil leak and fans weren't kicking in.
Managed to sort all those issues out as well as temporarily fit my new innovative dual oil pressure and oil temperature gauge. Oil pressure is a health 56 psi on cold start then drops to 32ish psi when warm.

So with the car running, I decided to go for a drive round the block and do some logging. Turned the engine off while I put the bumper back on and moved the oil press gauge to inside the car.
Then tried to start the car and it battles to start then runs very rough, like running on 2 or 3 cylinders :(
Did all the usual checks with coil packs and injectors but still couldn't get it to run like it was.
So at 2am I gave up and went to bed as I had to start my new job today!

gremlins!!!!

So this afternoon I managed to get things back on track. Had to repair the signal wire for the cylinder #3 coilpack. Don't know how I missed that yesterday, guess I was just too tired to concentrate.

Here is the best picture I could take in my dark dingy carport, I will get some better pictures once I have painted the TIP and boost pipe that feeds the TB.

Excuse the poor quality, the dust and what ever else you would like to complain about

A quick clip of the innovate dual oil pressure and temp gauge. Also have an innovate AFR gauge to fit which looks identical.

I think I might get an Innovate boost gauge to match the others. Can measure up to 43.5 PSI (3 Bar ) :hubbahubba:

MTX-L Wideband O2 Digital Air/fuel Ratio Gauge

Took a drive this evening and did some logging - onwards with the mapping !!

Looks like a poor quality, dusty photo but otherwise awesome :)

so you don't think it's dark and dingy :)

dammit, i commented while i was having a barry white in work but it crashed.

What map is it on at the mo?

Did Barry white crash into the lake :)
its only the starting map from Bill, just to check fuelling. I think he said it was a similar base map to Holly's TT. Only wastegate pressure which is about 13 psi.

glad you found the issue dude!!! those covers you have n the bay are doing nothing for your build..... instead of throwing them away you have my address :superman:
