So, iv decided to start making my engine look, well a bit more racier if you know what i mean.. see below to see progress so far.

my question is, I want to change the fuel hoses to braided ones, but one of the hoses on the car is bolted to the fuel rail, now i know i can get the adaptor to change it, but do not know the size, ie AN -6 or AN-8 like this AN -6 (AN6) STRAIGHT Push-On Fuel Hose Fitting | eBay

Firstly id get those dump valves replaced for recirc items as they wont be helping it much just my opinion !!

what did you do with the abs pipes looks pretty cool !!

replace the coolant tank for a new white one, replace the brake fluid cap for a black one (i used a citroen one) and maybe porsche oil and coolant caps ??

As for fuel line i havent a jar of glue either lol

I know people say things about the valves, but if im honest, the boost holds alot better, i have a really soft spring in them so they open just as easy as the oe dv's.

Im going to chrome the water tank as well as y pipe and bi-pipe. The brake lines are just sleeved with silicone at the moment, Im probs going to either spray them or even put braided hose all the way round...... just want to get this fuel line sorted, really need to find out the connector size.... i might just have to buy the -6 and the -8 im pretty sure its one of them as the pipes that are on at mo are 8mm ID and the -6 flange takes a 8mm ID pipe (14.5mm OD). may just take the risk as its not really expensive

The thing with the valves is they dump 'metered' air to atmosphere that has passed through the MAF so the ecu has calculated the fuel from the reading its recieved from the MAF so you get a rich mixture as the air its seen isnt there !!

i wouldnt do them chrome personally and im sure aragorn will say the same he hates the stuff lol

id stick with a new bottle with a nice cap and as for the 'Y' pipe why not do it red or yellow or just leave as is as it looks good enough the way it is !!

have a look here for any tips/ideas !!

i was thinking to leave it as is or get an rs4 one (as its metal i belive) and gel coat it

I would just get a new coolant tank would look far better, and they are not that expensive.

Where did you get the replacment hoses? been trying to find some..... I bought some but the size was wrong I'm guessing there are Atleast 3 different size ID hose?

i used , 3mm, 5mm and 7mm id hose, just bought in rolls.... as well as braided 7mm id for fuel lines plus braid hose clips and fuel line adaptor...

the result,,,,, (still waiting for a couple of samco hoses for in inlet pipe)

I'd slap on some passat engine covers to the left and right. Save messing about with pipes and then Silicon what you can see.

are they off any passat or a specific model? i didnt know they would fit the a4. will have to keep my eyes out for them.

Where did you get it? Seems like you'd have a lot left if you bought it in rolls.....

just from ebay, I say rolls, I just bought it in meters lol ie i think i used a total of 4 meters for the 4mm, 2 meters of the braided 7mm hose plus all the end caps and fuel connection flange....

this is a list of most things used, so you can see

Samco Silicone Induction Hose - Audi RS4 B5 2.7l Avant Quattro | eBay
Samco Silicone Throttle Body Hose TB755 - Audi S4 / S6 | eBay
AN -6 (AN6 AN 06) 9/16" Blue Billet Fuel Hose Separator | eBay
BRAIDED FUEL HOSE LINE STAINLESS (-6 An 8mm 5/16") x 1M | eBay
SYTEC DASH 6 -6 BLUE BRAIDED FUEL HOSE FINISHERS CLIPS FOR 8MM ID HOSE PIPE GP | eBay
AN -6 AN6 JIC Straight Swivel CUTTER TYPE Fuel Oil Braided Hose Fitting | eBay
1 Metre Silicone Silicon Vacuum Hose Turbo Dump Radiator Rubber Air Vac Pipe | eBay bought 3mm 4mm and 8mm (i think)
Audi S4 A6 2.7L 98-03 Silicone Bi-Turbo Hose kit | eBay Personally i would go with the full samco kit, bit more money, but i bet its easier to fit than this kit, throttle body boot is awful, hence why i have ordered a samco one, aslo kit does not come with induction hose, hence iv ordered the samco ones of those too, will get more pics when samco hose is fitted.

Im going to re-paint my engine covers and gel coat them, also the "V6 BI-TURBO" is going blue before i gel coat it, look good or not?

also, has any one ever seen a samco or similar coolant hose kit for these engines?
