Hi

I have been on here before, when i owned an S3.
I have now come back to the world of Audi becaus ei missed it soo much.
I have just bought my self an 05 1.8T quattro A4 Cabriolet.

How ever, i have a come across a few issues already...
and would like some opinions etc../ fixes. maybe there common issues.
im too impressed with the garage i bought it from at the mo.

1) driving home, noticed the in dash 6 cd changer was jammed. cannot use cd's comes up with error 3

2) upon pulling away from a stand still, and turning right, theres a rumble noise from sounds like the front n/s.

3) two light pop on the dash occasionally, ABS & traction control, go off when ignition turned off and back on.
believe this is a sensor.

4) whats should the avg mpg be on this car ?
im still getting use to it etc.. doesnt seem to be much different from my VW T4 2.5TDi though..

thanks and will get some pics up soon....
was looking for a while, its Black with Red leather... :)

Hello mate, your cab sounds like a nice colour combo. Have you had it scanned, might tell you more about the dash lights and why they are coming up. I'm sure someone will be along soon who knows a bit. Have you contacted the seller to inform them about the problems as they should really be sorting them out.

Good luck and enjoy the cab in this weather

Nice warm welcome back, :), ?

cant upload a picture :( wont let me via safari ??

can any one give me an idea of what a 1.8t quattro should be doing mpg wise ?

thanks

Well the dash lights turned out to be a brake light switch., so nice cheap easy fix.

Still averaging about 25-30 mpg, which i dont think is great. but its a heavy car. :p
Any one had a remap done on a 1.8TQ ? make much difference ?

Also,
But glove box handle drops outs, any ideas on why it doesnt stay in ?
seems to click back in and operates fine each time.

:p

I had a Revo Stage1 on my 1.8TQ, and a Forge DV008 diverter valve fitted at the same time. Made very noticeable performance improvements, but I think if I were to start again I'd try APR. Revo map certainly didn't help the MPG, if anything it made it worse.

No evidence or experience that APR maps are any better, just like what they've been doing recently, they seem to know their stuff.
