Had a play with Fly eye and Plastidip

The result, quite happy with it for now! Looks very mean, and light output is good.

Did my fogs too

Fly eye was harder to put on than i thought it was going to be as well.

But while im poor cheapy mods like this are fun!

How did you do you fly eye? Did you take the headlights out?

I did it with them still on the car, placed them along the middle of the lights from left to right then worked my way up and down respective of the middle, using heat to stretch and then heat to seal!

Would probably of been easier with them out, but I couldn't be bothered really, taking them out doesn't make them a straight surface so would still be difficult haha.

Fogs were a 30 second job though, template onto fog, template out of fly eye, stick, heat, press!

Was the plastidip easy to do? I was thinking of wrapping the middle bit of the bumper.

Thanks! Yeah I guess its gonna be easier to do that, more control!

And plasti dip is incredibly easy, you cant really **** it up, very little masking and prep needed too, I wasn't sure about it on its own but when I darkened the lights too, I think ill leave it for a while now

Fly eye doesn't affect the light output mate it has tiny holes in it.

So you get maximum light with the tinted look

TBH that's not what I have found when trying to drive flyeyed cars. Look great, right up until you stick it in a hedge

Light output for me is fine so far, but its only a sticker so no point not trying really!

I have never driven a fly eyed car, I was just getting my information from others who have them fitted.

So? If the lens looks dark, then the laws of physics says the light output is less.

There maybe holes, but there's far more that's not holes! If you can't see into the light, then the light can't get out by the same amount.....

I think your car would look minted with them on it.

Thanks! I was upgrading all my bulbs soon anyway, so that's kinda up rating them haha, but otherwise no trouble as of yet, but either way quick enough to remove.

did you use a heat gun when applying the flyeye mate?

Used fly eye before, never again, the heat cracked my headlight lenses this throwing off the beam pattern resulting is poor visibility. Very common with all films that are on headlights, google search it.

I was aware of these instances before I bought the stuff, but for me the light is fine
