Hi, Mrs had car booked into Halfords for a few free checks. They've had the car today and kept it for around 4 hours, they've produced a list of all the problems and I agree with them completely. We didn't tell them of any problems we were experiencing and left them to it. Ok so they said all brake discs are slightly corroded and lipped, I've since looked and yep they are pretty messed up. I've had a rattle on the car for a while now, thought it was the heatshield which I fixed and rattle still there. In the report it says 'Both rear back plates insecure and rattling'. I'm guessing this is the rattle which has sent me insane, has anybody heard of this problem before? Also they said the 'Suspension Link Front N/S Droplink boot has split', don't know what this is and what sort of problems it'll cause. Anybody enlighten me? Battery is showing half charge was another, car sometimes doesn't turn over. Takes a few goes to get it started, sounds like they could be related? I've got a squeak whenever I turn right, its loud and annoying. Thought it was the ARB bushes which I sprayed with WD40, noise remained. Halfords have put 'Both front tyres rubbing on inner edges', could this be the squeak that has so far eluded me? A few other things but I'll upload the print off. The prices are on these sheets which I think are a little extortionate to say the least, i'm wondering if anybody has had any of these jobs done and if so what did you pay? Any opinions are greatly welcomed, thanks guys and girls
