Maybe when it's ON, it's actually OFF.

There isn't a start up volume setting function - it states in the manual that it's manufacturer set. :(

It's when I start moving (ie starting speeding up) that it's turning itself up again after I've already turned it down, and then when I stop for the junction, it's turning itself down again - ie doing what Gala would do, even though I've set Gala to "Off".

The options are "Off", 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...

Can you do any thing in VCDS?
 
Chatting to a couple of the lads in work about cycling, fitness and other random stuff I don't need to do. They mentioned Crossfit dolls. Not knowing what it is I googled it.
I think the pub lot should do the same.

I have mixed feelings about the images I've seen but I can't stop looking.
 
Nicki does it remember radio stations etc ok? Sounds a bit like its not remembering the volume you switched it off at.

Yep, no problem with it's memory - reading the manual, it's not supposed to remember the volume when you turn off, it's supposed to come on at the preset volume. I'm not too bothered about that part, it's the turning up & down at will that's bugging me as the GALA is set to "Off"...

Can you program it off in VCDS?

Chez has a copy, he'll pop down and take a look if he can shut his boot.

Checked them out and totally agree, some smokin' hotties but also some proper scary !!
There's something fundementally wrong when your Mrs can bench press more than you.
That's a lot for our fragile male egos to take.

Scott, I do love a bit of soldering. Personally, i'm not ready to ditch audi red yet...I like it!

You changed a b5 dis screen yet? Just wondering ;) I watched a youtube video and it doesn't look too bad. Just a pain how many connectors there are on that damn ribbon cable.
 
Yeah, that one was totally dead.
Got 4 more clocks to do lol.

Time to buy some more screens.

Audi also sent white mate on the B5s and white and colour on the B6.
 
How much are the screens? I saw one on eBay for about £45 i think, can you get them cheaper?

And how are the screens backlit? Is the lighting contained in the LCD?
 
You can get them cheaper. I bought one last week for less than that and it's poo.

Fitted it after the other one and it don't work. I'll double check everything to make sure.

The screen is back lit by about 2 LEDs behind the LCD.

Gutted you bought a poo one! Right, i'm off for a shave and bed...for tomorrow I am off to meet Bentley :) I'm hoping for a free car.

I'm in the same boat! Since this update I get a notification for everything!
 
I hate tapatalk, I was woken up by a notification at 6:30 this morning to download the latest version...which I already have :(

Check your app list and see how many version you have.

You loved tapatalk.
You convinced me to get Tapatalk HD for the tablet.

For some reason over the last several months Tapatalk pushed out loads of updates.
Tapatalk HD, 2, 3, 4 Beta and final release of 4.

It looks like the other version have their own installation, so you could have 2 or more installations of tapatalk, I had 3 on my tablet.
Go through your app list and remove all version you don't want.
There might two version of tapatalk 4, version 1 and version 4.
 
Agreed scott, I did love it, until it woke me up at 6:30 :D

I still love it really though, but yeah I have too many versions of it now also, need to delete a few. But good thinking on that for multiple notifications.

Is that not your fault for having the volume or notifications on?
Don't forget you can set a silent mode on tapatalk.
 
It wasn't really a notification though, well, not a standard one such as if somebody had replied to a thread. I don't subscribe to threads, and have notifications turned off, but every now and again it tells me to upgrade.

It was on vibrate, so no noise, but the vibrate woke me...it tickled my crack.
