Just had my new BlueFlame Catback system fitted. Really pleased with it, sound is perfect and the car seems to be so much more responsive.
Was going to go Miltek but heard some stories of them going down hill recently and wanted something more unique.

Heres a few pix:

Thanks guys

Anybody know the best way to capture the sound? I have tried my iphone but it sucks picking up the exhaust note

Out of interest how much did that set you back mate?

It was around £400 incl VAT and fitting which I thought was really good. They are not off the shelf, they make it up for you when you are there so it fits perfectly and you get the noise level you want and the trims you want.

Also, what have you heard about Miltek, I was looking int oa systme for my S4 but have doubts now, need to know more please?

Just hearsay really mate, but I was told that the materials now being used in Miltek products is coming from a different Chinese factory and they are having to powder coat to stop issues in the future - remember this is just rumours and never having one I would not take my word for it.

The guys at Blueflame were awesome and really know there stuff, I would defo have a chat with them if you are looking around. I know Pabs on here (thanks Pabs for the info) has a full system fitted by them as well and he is well pleased with the results.

I have been so surprised how much more responsive the car feels now, its like it can breath much more!

I want this exact setup, what bumper is that you've gone for? Thx for sharing!

Do you have any contact details for them?

Had a blue flame turbo back exhaust on my mk3 ibiza cupra. Was one of the best quality exhausts ive ever seen. The finish sound and fit was exceptional.

Looks great mate

Hi guys
Sorry for the late reply.

Indeed I will get some more pixs up when I have a chance.

I rang blueflame last week and they said they are no longer doing cars did they say anything to you while you were there

Yes their website has changed.

Gone was a good list of applications and even videos of S3's flying up the road outside their factory.

Blueflame was started by ex Mongoose staff.

Stock can be found at most performance parts places.

Gutted :crying:

Looks like a really good fit!
Are blueflame still based in Lancashire? - I know one of the guys left and formed BCS Automotive.

Yer these in the same place. I have rang bcs and they wanted a stupid amount of money to do what I wanted so milteck I think

No, Blueflame are according to their website

UNIT 9 MITTON MILL IND EST
MILL ROAD
STOURPORT ON SEVERN

Looks like It's almost limited to a drive in custom service.

I have just checked again and there in skemsdale

It's the same number that's why I am getting confused but they defo don't do cars anymore

Shame no more blueflame car exhausts

They were quality and loved the tail pipe design on the mk 1 tt I had too

I designed that system :yum:
Cheers

What the mk1 tt blueflame?
If so my only gripe was the actual (not sure technical word) box bit was a bit on large side so didnt look oem with too much metal showing underneath and would scrape on some bumps
, reasons for that bit of the design?

System was designed in 2002, working in conjunction with Forge motorsport.
To create the sound I wanted, a specific volume of noise deadening was required, which could only be accomodated by utilising the 9 x 7 silencer section.
A narrower oval cross section could've been used but it would've needed to be chambered like the Scorpion and Milltek designs. My design ran straight through without any interuption with the nearside silencer outlet running parallel back round across the front of the silencer...
If only the production team could've controlled the quality better and ensured that the production systems were accurate what might've been...
Anyway that was in a previous life.

Honoured to meet (well via forum) the guy who designed it as was near perfect with great tail pipes

I was lucky with the quality then

So are you doing custom exhausts now?

Many thanks for that...
We do have a bespoke facility at BCS Automotive - but we are now concentrating on a niche specific range of unique systems 'Powervalve' which have the facility to offer variable sound via boost actuated valves - basically giving you two systems for the price of one.
Cheers
