Audi S3 needed for filming/Fifth Gear TV show (UK)

Hi all

I’m writing from the car show Fifth Gear which is now on Discovery Channel.

We are filming a used car buying guide and are looking to feature the Audi S3 (8L) as a must have hot hatch.

We are looking for a great condition and standard as possible Audi S3 for a days filming with Jason Plato in Coventry, West Midlands.

Filming is taking place on Thursday 22nd August 2013 and usually runs from 8am-8pm.

The car will be driven by Jason and only driven on the roads – there will be no track driving racing or testing – and we will give your car every respect!

We can cover travel expense, food and accommodation if needed.

So I reckon Paul could still get away with his BT S3 as it's pretty OEM looking :)

i've had a think and cant think of anyones car that fits the bill.
i first thought of the doctors, but then i realise he's got a stage 1 map on that now. Otherwise his car is immaculate and relatively stock.
If only modded were allowed, Tufftys would get the vote.

Thats a shame as you would have got my vote.

I have actually emailed the OP asking for some more info about what they are looking for and after describing my car and sending a few pics mine would be allowed. Only visual mods =sensibly lowered on coil overs, facelift rear lights, OEM BBS TT alloys

I just know there are better examples of S3s out there and on here that they could use as I expect it will be pitted against other similar cars, eg LCR so want to get the best car for them to use...my 188k example probably isn't the one :( but if they are 100% stuck ill give them a hand so the feature can be filmed.

Think you guys will struggle alot In all honestly, most at least have some form of modifications done if their on here.
 
Kwistof yours is quite modified though haha.
 
mines standard bar a remap but filming lol not till every panels painted wheels refurbed and its had a deeeeeeeeeeep clean lol

it would take an hour just to dig the 300 emtpty redbull cans out. but they are placed for maximum handleing balance i promise !
 
Why not use my A3?

It's better than an S3 anyway :p

If Karl hadn't of blown his up his would have been perfect.

It's the only unmapped S3 I know of haha

Haha....true but by the sounds of things they want an S3 for rolling shots and not for track abuse and against a stop watch/against other cars.

My S3 isn't that low and has OEM wheels (albeit from a TT lol) and only the purists would know I've upgraded the rear clusters. Under the bonnet though. Hmmmmmm I'd have to dust off the engine covers to hide a few things....could be a free shout out for the B5 tip at least! Haha
 
I've emailed the chappy. Lets see what he says.

And mine jardo but mines far, far from standard and would **** all over a stage 1 s3 with just a map.

It had all the bolt ons though, and didnt have oem wheels :( plus i have a rusty roof rail :(

If nilz is standard he should go for it.
Jojos is another one if theyl accept it has a stage 1 map. Its mint.
 
Iv just emailed. Mines a standard noggy, apart from the rs4's. Wait and see I suppose. Doubt they'll want to pay for me to drive up from cornwall tho. Lol

serious lol at the league of gentlemen pic as well! Lol that's a blast from the past...
 
Whoever gets this will be one lucky sod. Id love to meet jason plato, guy is a legend and one awesome driver, be nice to be cheeky and ask for some driving tuition or to be taken out in your own car.

I vote for Nilzy, his is standard with a dodgy remap, which is probably running standard power now anyways? Just need to refit his original airbox for a day.
