my car is due for a service in 600 miles according to car.how can I tell which service is needed as I don't have the service book.tried to contact the previous owner for this but cannot get their number as its ex-directory.

I personally would do the full lot, oil filter, oil, fuel filter, pollen filter and air filter making sure the cambelt is in date too in which case i'd get that done if I couldn't find any records of it. Least then you know it's done and peace of mind.

Personally I would be cautious and carry out maintenance that prevents expensive failures as above its better to do more before it breaks than regretting skipping it a week later.

Have you called audi uk. I had a blank book when I got mine. Called them up and they told me which audi dealer serviced the car. Sent my book to them and they filled it out.
All irrelevant if not done at audi. But worth a call.
