I recently added an allroad to the "fleet" for a good price.

The headlights were cloudy from the get go, so I decided to sort them out today.

I followed a similar process to removing the rear tint on the RS
400 grit W&D
800 grit W&D
1200 grit W&D
2000 grit W&D
followed by grade 5 and grade 3 wolfs chemicals polish on a Dual action

Did you buy a kit for this or have it all to hand? Mine are looking like how yours did look. Impressive results there.

Not a kit no just a variety pack of wet and dry for the higher grades and packs of the 800 and 400 grit from halfords. The dual action polisher was borrowed from a friend for the evening whilst not absolutely essential it really helps refine the finish.

Start at 1200 grit then go to 2000 if that hasn't gone deep enough go back but start at 800 and if that still doesn't work go back to 400and work your way up, as the least aggressive solution is always best. :)

Thanks for the write up Dane and the updates.

Rav, let me know if you are going to do yours anytime soon, as I may come and pay a visit and do mine too.

no worries :)

This is likely to remove the UV coating on the headlights which, as far as I understand it means the plastic could discolour over time.

I bought gtechniq c4 exterior trim restorer, based on a few threads on detailing world. This provides UV protection for a few years but Ill top it up every year ish.

Exterior Coatings // G|Techniq

Im going to use it on the rest of the Allroads exterior plastics and around the wing mirrors (not the painted part obviously)

vid of it working
