I have the part number & price for 170 twin exhaust rear valance

Hi guys,

So after searching on here for quite sometime everyone has asked the same question about a million times! Normally regarding the S3 Bumper and the S-Line rear valance/diffuser.

In my case I have a 2010 2.0TDI 140 Black Edition which has this rear bumper:


I want this rear bumper / valance: (from the 170 black edition)


The rear valance pops out and is interchangeable and the part number from Audi is: 8P0807434F1RR and the price is £90.54 for the part. Fitting is simple, 2 bolts on the back and pop out and then replace with the new valance. Of course then a trip to your exhaust centre for a twin exhaust tip / backbox and hey presto much sportier looking rear end.

Done!

You'll also need to buy the mesh sections and tow bar section as well. They aren't cheap either i'm affraid.

Sorry no idea on the part numbers. I think you'll need 6 more parts including the mesh to complete it and they are about £30/£40 each.

The individual parts and also complete diffusers are like rocking horse poo to get second hand.

hmmm ok called Audi and you need the following
Mesh inserts x4 @ £33.72 each
Valance (inc tow eye cover) @ £90.54

Total £225.42

For that price its looking just as easy to buy a bumper with the valance off eBay (when they come up) and then change the valance, then sell the bumper and valance again and try to make some money back. But that's a lot of hassle - may be too much hassle with postage etc..

For £225 inc VAT that's looking more appealing at present.

It's expensive, seeing as I have a new genuine single exhaust version for £150 with all the parts included!!! :sign_plug:

I'd wait and see if one comes up on eBay.

You need to buy a whole bumper off eBay with it all there. Remove the diffuser and put on your car. Then put your old diffuser on the bumper you bought and re-sell on eBay. That's what I did. Don't buy a 3 door bumper thinking the diffuser will pop off and fit on a sportback because it doesn't. I did that but luckily I resold it on eBay for a profit.

I think that might be the best option - but like I said the main issue is the postage, having a bumper hanging around the flat - yes flat not house so makes it even more annoying...

I'll keep my eyes on eBay and if a decent one comes up i'll do that - otherwise I will just go to Audi. I have to get a twin exhaust tip fitted after the bumper anyway and to be honest money isn't really the object. But that doesn't mean im not adverse to a good bargain!!

I got stung with the valance being really cheap then you add the mesh bits and postage and it wasnt such a cheap little mod anymore,

btw: A3Kent my grill and Sline valance are getting put on this weekcar has been dropped off by my dad.

That doesn't look a bad deal to be honest - but like you said not saving a huge amount and I can pick mine up from Audi Southampton, just £225 that's all.
