Hi All,

I really want to order some 3SDM wheels, they often come in 8.5 front which is perfect and 9.5 rear which I need some advice on.

Will 9.5" rear wheels be too wide? Will I get pulled for it (as in will the police notice?)

Thanks in advanced, really don't need the police on my case.

Fu** the police !! Lol ive just bought another set of 9j and sold a set of 9j bentleys been pulled plenty of times but never for alloys or having stretched tyres

9j would fit fine but these either come in 8.5j or 9.5j. I rather have some reassurance about the 9.5js then to get the 8.5js and use a 0.5 spacer

can i ask why the police would mind, which part would be against the rules? the extra size wheels?

JJ.

Just get them they wont day anything mot stations dont care ive been and asked 3 different ones and they all said same thing doesnt matter aslong as tyres are in good treaD and not got any cuts etc

Apparently if the wheel exceeds the arches its illegal.

ImageSticking out 9J perfectly fine

Don't take this as encouragement........it's not easy or cheap.

18x9s and 245x40x18s here......

But you need this to do it....

Hi Alex,

I cannot open the pictures, stuck at work can you email them to me?

I am tempted to do 8.5j fronts and 9.5j rears, all I want to know is how much they stick out at the rears

The lower the ET the more it will stick out

you will get 9.5s on easy if the offset is right...im running 9s on the rear of mine with ET35 and the dish just sits outside the arch (by mm's)....just adjust the offset to compensate for the extra width.

and I always thought that as long as the tread was in the arch you could have your rim sticking out and it was fine?? hence stretching tyres on....
