Which is best? 3dr or 5dr S3? Discuss....

If you've got kids,5 doors I guess.

Mine are older,and I don't like 5 doors......that's one reason I didn't swap to an RS3.

I prefer the look of the 3door, its a lot more slick. The 5door is more practical though, but in my opinion its looks a little like an estate car from the side.

Prefer my 5 door to the 3 door I had. You don't need as much space in car parks to get out of it; and no-one has to get out in the rain to let back seat passengers in.

(And no seat-back mechanism to go wrong!)

3 door better than more door

I have a 3 door, but if I'm honest, I'd prefer to not have to get out all the time to let people in... next time I might get a 5er.

3 door looks best, 5 door more pratical but changes shape of it as usual for 5 doors!

the rear lights are ace on 5doors, plus the practical side and for a 1/2s quicker ..il take 5 doors anytime :p

5dr all day long if you have family or friends. Who wants to have to get out to let someone else out or in your car and let them trash everything with there feet as they do it. Plus safety, you do not want to be in the back of a 3dr car in a crash!!
I also personally much prefer look of the 5dr. 3dr looks like it left the factory to early and is missing something...

I went for a 3 door but within a month realised I wanted a 5 door. The depreciation was too great to change it though so I still have the 3 door. Extra doors and roof rails really do attract me to one still!! Look just as good if not better than a 3 door IMOH.

There was only 3dr when I started!

Now on my third 3dr.

You've got a passenger door, make them use that.... :D

Had a 3 door S3 before the RS3 and I have completely come around to 5 doors now. It does look a little more Avant than the 3 door but I like that, it's deeply rooted in RS heritage.

The 5 door is definitely more modern looking from the back too with the LED light clusters. The rear light clusters on the 3 door are one of the worst things about the 3 door.

Just to add, I will be having an 8V RS3 when they are available and that will be 5 door too :)

3dr all the way. Folk are not allowed in the back of the S3 anyway, that's what the golf is for haha.
If I want an avant I'll buy an A4.

3dr Manual RS3 ftw!

I personally like the 3dr but my wife thinks they looks **** and prefers our 5dr S3.

We have a child so the 5dr is a bit more practical and easier when clipping this child into his car seat.
5 door S3 looks much more sleeper-like than the 3dr variant.. Get the odd look when they see a 5 door boosting past :D

3dr for me.

Getting in and out of the back isn't a problem because I never have to do it :sly:

When I see a 3door I expect to see a woman driving it. 5 doors are proper male cars. They look better, are more practical, and the spec is spread out more, 3 doors are just a bit too small in my opinion for that type of car and its as if everything has been squashed in. Buckets look better on a 5 door, rear lights do, roof rails can be fitted, pan roof... What more can you want from a car???!

that's what i do :D
newer had an issue with 3 door, and it has more space than my old b6.

See, on the face of it, this view seems like sheer lunacy, but the more I've thought about it, the more I've realised that my choice to have a 3-door was a subconscious desire to be seen as womanly.

I especially love the 3-door because the windows are larger so I can fit more ***** through it and into my mouth. With the 5-door a3 I reckon you could only get two blokes lined up into the window, I reckon with a 3-door you could get at least three, which is two in the mouth and the other having a bukkake party. It'd probably be possible to have a fourth bloke shooting into the car if he stood at an angle.

So there you have it, 3 door gives you twice as much **** and sets off petera3's gay-dar.

Tinted windows are murder any time im at the lights get guys lining up outside with there skants down :(

I't been an adjustment getting used to the smaller front windows, as I've always had 3dr cars previously, but I personally I mush prefer the A3 in 5dr. Have never considered the 3dr.

Personal preference. One thing's for sure, in either 3 or 5dr guise I'd rather be behind the wheel of an Audi than a lot of other cars out there... :)
