Just do a Karl and lift it out. What's happening with the car dave?

Oh, and since we are talking work. I went to Shrewsbury today, it really is in the middle of nowhere! Nice place though, or at least the drive there was.

Car all sorted now (touch wood), thanks Dave :) Misfire on cylinder 4 - replacement injector and it seems to be resolved. Just waiting for the £££ to be refunded under the warranty now.

Just office politics to be honest - they made 2 of the 4 managers redundant a couple of months ago and (as one of the 2 remaining) I'm getting lumbered with more work than I can deal with at the moment (as is my colleague). Went to one of the bosses today about it, but may as well have talked to a brick wall. We didn't have a proper handover either as they were put on gardening leave rather than working their notice so we don't even know the full extent of what we're going to have to deal with over the coming months either. Bleugh. :(

Meh, nearly the weekend and lots planned for this weekend :)

Boring out to a 1.9 and putting the tfsi turbo setup on it....

Did think of lifting it out Karlos stylee , but nearly snapped my spine when the front end came loose and caught it..
Plus i dont have to have look outs in the middle of the night in liverpool while you smash and grab.....;)

OOhhhh, you're going 1.9. You'll be nearly as fast as my 1.9 derv soon :moa: Next you'll be putting a few extra doors on it and calling it a sportback. The family mans car.

Good luck with it all dude! I still need your contact for sandblasting. My s4 wheels are crying for a refurb, or powdercoat :friends:

Morning Peeps.

Thursday to day, at least I hope it is. If I've got all confused and its really wednesday I might just rage quit and drive the works van in to the river!!
Talking of river, I'm off up there this morning hopefully. Give me something to do for the morning, got to install some software for the engineers.

Dave, you not done that yet?
Who's sporting the slowest S3 build at the moment?

I found a pic on the internet of someone lifting an engine but I can't find it now.

Niki, it seems to the be the way at the moment. Less staff, more work, same pay.

Paul, got a car yet?

I have keyboard envy now. Mine is a "technika" - apparently they were £9.99 in Tesco's (wireless keyboard & mouse combo). It's horrendous and the paint is missing off most of the keys on the keyboard. Not a problem if you can touch type, but a lot of people in the office can't...

That's not good.

Would you like a new keyboard?
Sadly I don't have any wireless ones in stock.

just get a paint pen n colour in the keys? would do all the ones in office for couple pounds, boom im waisted in construction, too efficient... maybe got German blood in me :tumble:

That would involve doing each key individually though... For the time that would involve (and the fact it's not my money anyway), I might as well just spend £20 out the petty cash on a decent one. ;)

Or just buy a decent one so the keys don't wear out so fast.........................hang on..............did you buy a cheap keyboard so the buttons wear off really fast so it looks like you do more work that you do?
That's how you beat redundancy. :ninja:

no work experience in the office? can imagine that one for there report, painted and lacquered 30 keyboards all week haaa!

yeh scotts right, keep the cheap knackerd one :p

Haha! Nope - our ex-director bought the keyboards. He was in charge of internal IT and just used to bulk buy cheap **** keyboards & mice when they were on offer in supermarkets. We have a range of makes you've never heard of in the office and the wireless signals all interfere with each other. We've had to swap keyboards round the office just so no two people sitting next to each other have the same!

Unfortunately not - work experience kid left a few weeks ago. Trouble is, because all our work is based on chargeable time, the partners fight over the work experience kid as it's free labour = better recovery on the fee = bigger profit share for the month.

A week!? Wow- I get withdrawal symptoms after a day or two of not driving my S3! lol

I still have a 3M headlight restoration kit and Lamin X to put on before Sunday - so fingers crossed I don't mess that up :ermm:
