AitP Discussions Thread.

im working every day through to half 7 saturday evening so even if i cleaned on saturday it will get road dust from saturday evening but at least ill be in a good situation for a quick detail on sunday when at aitp, i even bought a new bottle of autoglym quick detail for the clean and ive almost used the fecker up, what do you people use to clean the glass, i used autoglym fast glass and a microfibre cloth for glass but that was a waste of fecking time so i did it again with mr muscle window and glass cleaner and some plenty kitchen towel = much better result
 
Any glass cleaner such as mr muscle with newspaper to clean up usually gives best result, am not going to make much fuss with my car as I have a few scuffs on the front and rear bumpers which I don't have enough time to change them. So I'm going to use up a bottle of T-cut on Saturday after the car wash see if I can get some good enough results lol
 
yeh, ive got a couple of dents and scratches and stone chips im just going to clean it the best i can and see what it turns out like
 
Haha, I'm cleaning my alloys Saturday but they won't stay clean long, it's ******* down here now after the work I did on my car today
 
Doubt I'll even have time to throw a bucket of water over mine.
Off to Bristol friday after work, saturday I'm fitting a new sump, oil pump and hopefully new clocks.
If that all works out with no issues I'll be heading off to the hotel saturday at some point.
I might have time to swing past a hand car wash or late night jet wash and give her a once over.


Its not all about shiny cars though is it?

Dirty cars.
Mine is filthy from the 900mile lake District Holiday last week, plus I use it everyday for work....I'll not have time to clean it before this.
 
I'll give the local hand car wash a fiver to clean mine and then give it a quick detail after.

Same here.
By the time I get to AITP I would have clocked up 2k miles in the last 2-3 weeks.

Voorhees, I did that went to my local on Monday when it was raining paid £4 came home then yesterday I hoovered, clayed, polished cleaned the glass, going to do the alloys on Saturday

It's a beast of a TT!! Full stage 2 with pretty much everything inside racing spec. Think its about 320bhp at the mo but could be wrong.


Going up with some of the TTForum chaps that live near here. Will pop by the ASN stand... Expect I will have my Advanced In-Car Jacket so feel free to stop me :)

yeh, its not a big bbq its practicle for cooking for 2 and it says it might rain on sunday there so ive got cover for bbq

not a bad little buy for £15 from homebase (less my staff discount) ive got it for car meets or if myself and mrs c want to go out for an afternoon we can take the bbq with us

Haha ill be doing around 400 miles before i get there i dont think a Quick detailer will have much effect!!!

haha, in your case no i dont think it will do much for you, ive got 93 miles to drive so its not too bad for me but will be dirty still

Glad to see mine wont be the only one that's not spotless. Was worrying about it looking a mess. Will also just be popping to the local hand wash for a quick clean.

The local handwash will be earning a mint!! Ill go but ill be giving them my scratchguard buckets and wash mitts first ;)!

i bought a cable yesterday of Ebay, it says delivery should be tomorrow or before but they havent been dispatched yet, so if they come ill be bringing mine and my laptop, if i have them maybe someone could show me what does what and how it works

Last year there was a massive black tent and ASN flags.
Keep an eye out for that.

I think the marshals should be able to guide you to the ASN stand.

i know jojo
havnt had a audi for a while now last one was a 80 sport and i had that for 10yrs
but as i work on audi/vw for my job (independant specialist) i had to have something different for my toy
