Am I special or is this normal? ?

I have only owned my 2005 sline avant a couple of months and its been a rocky road so far, see my other thread for details. I popped out in the car last night and opened up my arm rest to find a lovely red glow inside, id never noticed a cheeky little red led sitting inside. Nice touch I think.

Is this a standard fit?

Standard on mine......freaked me out the first time I saw that too. I lost the lid the month after I bought it.....just keep my box in vertical position facing the rear passengers. Not missing it much....must say!

OMG! I have one too! How have I never noticed that? I did see it this morning however and it appears as though it isn't working or maybe it's just really bright outside during the day to even notice it. Anybody know how they're powered/connected? I had a new armrest cover fitted when I bought the car so they may have forgot to connect it?

I have a 2005 2.0 tdi SE and its not on mine.
That said I do have a phone cradle fitted as an OEM part in the arm which came as standard.
