Hi there! Just booked my new 10 plate A5 s- Line coupe 180 special edition in for a Stage 2 Remap at Revolution in Newcastle. Hoping to take the car to about 250bhp and a world moving slab o torque!

Thanks buddy!

To be honest I was quite surprised at the speed of the 180. I had a modified Civic Type R FN2 previously and it ran about 210 hp but you had to rev the thing to about 8500 Revs if you wanted to over take anything! Quick off the line though. However, the 180 of the Audi is much more usable. The torque makes all the difference. I can't wait to feel the car after the remap!

I'll miss the Honda. Great little motors and thrilling to drive. The Audi is a much more elegant and handsome car and I'm sure i'll love it just as much!

I'll post some photos tomorrow. I've just detailed it and painted the callipers black. Ah! I love the summer!

Paul :)

Oh great same as me then.
Revo
211 BHP to 305 BHP and 258 lbs/ft to 348 lbs/ft without any modifications. Been on the Rolling Road achieved 300 Bhp.
Got the Remap at 3000 miles and still running strong at 23000 miles.

A Revo SPS is not required. A Revo SPS basically plugs into the socket underneath the steering wheel and you can change the performance modes or turn the remap off if requested. They are £125 and have to be tuned in to suit your car whilst your car is being remapped.

I have tried the 0-60 on the different performance modes of the SPS and here is my resulsts:
Performance Mode A: 0-60 in 5.5
Performance Mode B: 0-60 in 6.1
Performance Mode C: 0-60 in 6.6 the same as stock i dont see no difference between this and stock.

I tried all the Performance Modes running Shell V Power
But Performance Mode A is Shell V Power/ 99 Octane
Performance Mode B is BP Ultimate/Texaco Supreme the 97 Octane
Performance Mode C/Stock can be run on normal petrol.
I am going to France next month so if i cannot get any Shell then i can select between the performance modes to suit the fuel so it will run perfect.

Mine is left in performance mode A and does
0-60 in 5.5
50-70 in 2.5
0-100 in 12.6

It just completely transforms the car.

You got 305 hp with no mods? That's incredible. I'm a little worried now, either I'm paying too much for too little gains or they've underestimated the gains the remap will give :/ The Stage 2 at Revolution gives a 40% increase but i need to install a new filter and a Milltek exhaust. It's about £1600 altogether.

Hi,

I have a stock 211bhp 2.0TSFI as well, any ideas where I can get this mod done near Northamptonshire> i've had a quick look on the Revo site but it's not very informative (or it's me..)

Thanks in advance :)

Yep 300 BHP with no mods, mine was done at 3000 miles and still running strong at 23000 miles.
Do not worry, ask View Profile: riggssuzuki - Audi-Sport.net for a second opinion.
He has had his on the rolling road at 300 bhp.

Many thanks > I'm new to this so forgive my questions please, but does this mean it will be £499 fitted inc. vat now then ?
And can anyone give me an idea of the insurance increase ?

Thanks

Nope, this is the error that everyone makes. if it's originally £499 + VAT then it's £499 - 20% = £399.20 + 20% = £479.04 inc

Thanks

Spoke to Dave at ADS he said you can get upto 285 bhp how can we make it to 300bhp?

He is probably mistaken there. All the remaps are set to the same he might just be guessing or going off his guide from the revo remaps.
In reality its 300.

Booked my remap with ADS on Thursday next week can't wait to feel the end result 🚀 lol

We're often conservative on figures & not something we are fans of in reality, the peak numbers you get on a rolling road are typically referred to as ‘Pub Talk’ numbers; who has the most power and torque! In reality the Peak numbers are largely irrelevant; it's the power/torque throughout the rev range and the power delivery that's important the peak number gives very little indication to how capable a vehicle is or how well it drives. Unfortunately there’s a lack of understanding in the industry and still a requirement to quote peak figures?
When Revo and our dealers set vehicles up on the road, we are data logging and feeling how to car drives to get the most from it for you the driver, not just trying to chase a peak number.

Thanks buddy. I've already paid my deposit at Revolution though. I'll definitely take a look at triple H in the future; they're right n my doorstep and I don't even realise!

i think I'll get a good remap at Revolution nonetheless. Food for thought though.

Ahh right, I use my car everyday for work aswell got it May 1ST 2011 and done 23000 miles. It needed new tyres at 18000, what did yours last ?

Lol I've still got the originals on going to get the remap done first then get tyres going to search the web for the cheapest price on the Dunlops that the car came with

Yeah, I suppose i have had the remap on my car wearing them down faster and it hasnt been driven lightly i can say that :p
I replaced mine with the same dunlops but these will last allot longer now i am not driving as fast. I think with these dunlops you get the best of all worlds tbh.

Yes very true I always try and replace everything what it came with originally

I have a 211PS 2.0T S-Tronic Quattro A5 Sportback. The mods listed appear to offer +25% power and +20% torque for this engine. Any idea if my remaining warranty/servicing with Audi will be impacted by this modification?

Have you done a remap on the car?
As far as I've been told by the people on these threads that the warranty won't be affected!
i have 1 year left on my warranty and my car is booked in for remapping on Thursday 8/8/13 can't wait :busted_cop:

No, I've not had this done. I also have a year left on my warranty. Will ask my dealer what their position is on engine mods.

Will be interested to hear about your experience with this!

Hope fully the car won't need anyway warranty work so I won't tell main dealers they would cancel the warranty if you told them

I have had my remap since near enough new and i still have 10 months warranty remaining and not had a problem, it has been back before for warranty work on the bodykit coming loose and had no problems, obviously a remap wouldn't affect that but still.
Its quite unlikely for something to go wrong with the engine if it is looked after and well serviced.

Type
95% of dealers will tell you that it is a danger like they did with me. But they already know i have had it remapped they could tell when they collected it, that's when i didn't have the SPS.
If the car needs a software update whilst at a service they will carry it out, so before a service tell them you don't want a software update because this will override the remap and clear it, If they do clear the remap then it will cost £60 to re download from your Revo dealer again.
