I use autoglym but im considering a change to the meguiars gold class?

cheers

Used autoglym shampoo and thought it was good.
Never used Meguiars gold class but heard nothing but good reports.
Currently using Angelwax shampoo, goes a long way and I like it more than the autoglym :)

Megs nxt is better than gold class imo having tried them both

Try liquid gold by turtle wax, only £5 and can be had from wilkinsons, the idea is that it doesn't leave watermarks so you can wash then walk away. This is the big problem with black cars

I usually use auto glym but i picked some AM Details bubbles up from the detailers which i havent tried yet.

I generally tend to polish the motor afterwards anyway, so the shampoo isn't such an issue for me...

I use gold class because i went to a megs open day and got a load cheap because of damaged packaging, before that megs nxt both brilliant but my mate who owns distinctive detailing sells some stuff he uses which i am going to try next, you basically put a 20 pence piece amount in a bucket and when you put your fingers in the water when you rub them together after it feels like there is silk in between your fingers it seems pretty amazing stuff

Just used Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss. My previous shampoo was Glossworkz which was good, but i think the Citrus wash and Gloss may have the edge judging from todays results. Its highly concentrated and a little goes along way and seemed to produce better suds than the Glossworkz. When i'm finished with it then i may try one of the Meg's or autoglym products then decide which one to stick with.

Normally use AutoGlym & always thought it to be cack tbh

Either feels just like water with no slip or leaves the car with tons of white residue if not rinsed almost immediately

But I keep using it as a normal weekly wash & always spend a little time with something extra after anyway (living by the sea has its downsides due to salt spray & endless amounts of bird attacks)

Cheers for the replies guys. I haven't heard of half these shampoos if I'm honest and wouldn't know where to get them lol Any recommendations other then Autoglym from the halfords shelf would be great

+1 for Meguiars gold class. I previously used Auto Glym but i find Meguiars gold class far better.
I have also noticed the car beads water allot more now i use Meguiars and Meguiars doesnt make your wipers streak either.

+1 from me. I use it with a tribble mitt, tbm and wooly mammoth drying towel.

Good to know. My Glossworkz is running out so was undecided on whether to just replace it or trying something else. Will try the Citrus Wash & Gloss next.

I've just started using Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II and I have to say that when I opened the bottle I wanted to drink it, as it smells so good. It's super concentrated like Glossworkz too. 1 cap for 20ltrs again. Super foamy and leaves No water marks. So it's all good. Also purchased from Clean Your Car.

I bought the gold class in the end and 1 of those Meguiars wash mitts but haven't had chance to try it out because of the rain. Need to find something to get rid of a few bird poo stains in the paint next

Angelwax shampoo a little goes a long way, It's supper slick and the mitt just glides over the body effortlessly for a great clean.

if your using CG glossworkz i wouldn't switch to the citrus wash n gloss. maybe the body wash n wax.

I found this which suggested sticking to Glossworkz...
My preffered choice is Glossworkz also beads and sheets better than the other 2 mentioned

Extreme body wash and wax or Citrus wash n gloss - Detailing World

As it turns out I bought Britemax Cleanmax which is excellent but not as glossy as Glossworkz. So thinking of buying more Glossworkz and using the Britemax on the wife's car. Shhh! :)

I use Zymol Natural car wash shampoo. It doesnt have the best of cleaning power but if you are washing your car once a week at least it will make the wax on your car last ages as it does not strip wax.
