S3 - MTC Intake Kit in White

I received the above today, and its a really nice bit of kit.

Really easy to fit, especially as i was just upgrading from my P-flo.

Car feels better for it too, and its quieter, which is nice, I was getting a little fed up with all the noises.

I bought it in white to match the Ibis paintwork.

Its based on the ITG, but engineered in Yorkshire.

Certainly fills the engine bay up nicely!

Gains have been seen of 19bhp from the standard air box on a Leon.

If you want one, get in touch with me, and I'll get it a bit cheaper for you.

Colours available are, Blue, Black and White. Red is now sold out as it was popular.

OMG. I want one. Badly.

I'm thinking of going for a b/w look on the car and that'd be puuurrrffeect.

white one will be dirty soon :(

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking - Looks really, really nice at the moment though.

Holy wow The diametre of the hoses is bigger than the ones on my plumbing at home, car must be running wicked with that on

silicone hoses are shiny slippery things, should be easy to clean!

My hand prints were all over the hoses from just doing a service. Brake cleaner did the trick nicely.

The stainless steel bits will be mega easy too.

Not worried ;)

Looks good mate!

When you say quieter than your old P-flo is it literally just a little quieter but the sound is the same? I've just removed my P-flo because I didn't really like the noise it produced.

If the P-Flo is say a 10/10 in loudness, the MTC is a 5/10.

The P-Flo made a 'tinny' loud breathing noise as its all metal, the MTC isnt/doesn't, kind of hard to explain!

All I can really hear now is my dump valve, where as before all I could hear is the P-Flo..

Cheers mate. I was always hoping for something a little more throaty/roarty!

Wow - thats gorgeous. Can you PM some prices pls?

The filters come seperately, I bought an ITG one.

Prices including filter will be around £255.

looks exactly like an ITG maxogen kit tbh with a colour change

One thing to note when your sent this kit is the fixing screwing on the right hand side by the battery box is an 'Allen' key bolt.

My experience with these are that they are USELESS!!

I've changed mine to a proper 'Hex head' bolt and a couple of washers so i can actually get a spanner on it and tighten it properly.

So for those of you who have, or will buy this kit, the size thread is M6, forgotten what length i bought but take an educated guess.

Very happy with it now :w00t:

Looks good .what's the internal diameter of the pipe then ?

I've got the re-circ back on now, fancied a change. Louder than ever with the the BOV tunnel effect back through the intake. love it.

I'll second mjr901 on the MTC, the size of the neck of the filter is 89 so quess u can get the diameter of pipes from that? Here's mine fitted, pics aren't the best cos just straight from iPhone. An cheers mjr901 I'll get the other bolt for it as I don't think it tightens quite enough..View attachment 18838View attachment 18839View attachment 18840

I also used the original spring clamp on the pipe connecting onto the turbo as I don't think jubilee clips are really strong enough to hold them on. Had that prob on the 8l with the badger 5 tip blowing off all the time until I put a spring clamp on it.

I used the Jubilees provided, had no problems with them.

The pipes all went together very tightly, particularly the elbow that goes onto the turbo.

Those spring clips...I'd rather eat my own foot. damn things.

I also said to the seller that it might be a good idea to provide a large jubilee to hold the filter on. As when i bought the ITG filter, it doesn't come with one, just a sticker...

Luckily I dug one out, but most wouldn't, and I think it would be beneficial and easier on the mind to jubilee the filter on.

Did he provide one for you?

I cant see much detail in your high quality snaps

I know what you mean, but after replacing the badger 5 numerous times I just thought I'd put the clamp on while my plumbers pliers were in there elimant 😁. But ye kit goes together really easy an fits perfect in engine bay, well chuffed with it and for the price it speaks for it self!

Id be more inclined to jubilee him on mate, the spring clips are tight-ish, but in my opinion not a patch on a jubilee.

Why don't you have the intake return hose installed? (From the DV)

Looks like a nice bit of kit, does anyone know if it would fit a A3 2.0 TDI?

Would love one of them in blue :)

Spoke to him yesterday, he's got 4 blue kits and 1 white kit left.

Hes just ordered some more pipe to get some more rolling out.

So all the colours will be available before long again.
