Led canbus Error 2008 A3

Hi

I have a Audi A3 Sline quattro 2008 model, the last pre-facelift model. I have just upgraded to new LED bulbs in my DRL lights, bulb type BA15S P21W. With a can-bus resistor almost same kind as this one OBC Resistor Fix Leads for LED 382 P21W | eBay

But i am still getting can-bus error inside the car. I have read somewhere that some of the audis are more sensetive to can-bus error, is this possible?

Since i cant get rid of the can-bus error, is it possible to turn of the can-bus message in VCDS VAGCOM?? If so where in the program?

Hi.

Yes you can switch the Error off in VCDS.

You need to recode the headlights. when i am home later today i will put a picture up to show you how.

you will need to take that resistor out tho and then code it in.

Here you go.



Go to 09 CE. Then long coding, then byte 21 and make the coding look like this. once this is done press do it and if the warning box pops up press no.

then you need to clear the error codes and hey presto.

Pull the sidelight holder out and hide it behind with the halogen sidelight still in like this picture



You DRL will be full brightness in the daytime, then when you do sidelight and xenon they will dim down.

Try that, let us know how you get on.

Sorry for late answer! I have been som busy at work i havent had time to fikkle with my audi. But today i tried! and it didnt work. or the error on the bulbs is gone but now i got an error on voltage

02895 - Supply Voltage for LED Module for DRL and Parking Light; Left

This sucks.. cause i dont want to have those ugly halogen lights in. But having an error in the dash is insanely irritating!

Anyone have a solution?

I just put some led drl bulbs in my S3 , it come up with errors on dash , I opened VCDS and changed the setting and errors have gone

DAmn... i just got error for voltage supply unit when i did it... Maby im just unlucky

Yeah. i Changed it to Xenon With led. Thats when the car noticed that i didnt have a voltageregulator for led in my headlights.
