Hi everyone, just 18 days to go till AITP so as per requested here is the convoy thread for you all to make your meeting arrangements for the drive. When you arrive, ask to be directed to audi-sport.net stand. All members welcome at the stand. I know you will all have a great time. Drive safe and cant wait to see all the pics. Enjoy :) x

I'll be heading up from the south east with another s3 and an a4 :)

What route will you be taking jimojameso? I'm assuming clockwise avoiding the Dartford crossing?

I'll be travelling up from the SE area also, but will be aiming to be at the event pretty early to avoid the traffic and buy a ticket on the gate, but will be heading through Dartford.

I went up last year on the morning of the show, got there for around 9ish.

If I go this year I'll aim to do the same I'd imagine

We must come up with a plan. I'm heading up from the SE (Eltham) looking forward to this!

Fiz good to see you on here buddy :)

Kwistof yes i will be going anti clockwise. What time you reckon we should all leave to head up there? Maybe could all meet at Cobham services? Just need to set a time really.

Cobham services works for me, just give me a time and i'll be there. :salute:

Yeah I don't mind travelling west bound on the M25.

I live close to the start of the M20 near the channel tunnel (very SE Kent), so my normal route would be to go through the Dartford crossing/tunnel but I'll be up for meeting at Cobham services to drive and arrive in a convoy. I suppose at least I get to save the toll charge money! Lol :)

I'll have a look into times to leave tomorrow- just out and on the mobile at the moment.

Chris

If anyone is going up on the Saturday, we have a convoy of around 8 cars heading up from Audi addicts if wanna drive together?

Is anyone leaving essex area? I'm located in Chelmsford but can travel to meet up if any others are willing to do so Sunday morning?

We have a guy travelling from Chelmsford on the Saturday

That's a shame I can't do Saturday. Any others for Sunday?

What I was discussing earlier in the thread would have all been for the Sunday tbh.

Meet at Cobham services - then hit the M25 and M1.

If your travelling from Chelmsford then the convoy could roll through a services on the M1 and you could join from there?

Going south m25 to m1 is a long **** way round lol

I think it will be a bit to late in the morning to get through central London at that time at a decent pace.

M25 and M1 are both long *** PITA roads! lol

Makes it a lot more fun when you're in convoy though :)

Any good place for me to join from the south, Im in bournemouth

How about travelling on the A3 and join at Cobham services on the M25?

I'll sort out aprox meeting times shortly and see how much interest there is.

O yeah, that not much different as i would normally go up the m3. That would be great!

Ill probs still go up the m3 then come back down on m25 as its slightly quicker

A3 is after Cobham services, services is between 9-10. From Bournemouth your better coming up the m3 and joining somewhere on the m1, more likely toddington services.

When I said about being the long way, your better going across the bridge and going anti clockwise to the m1, rather than clockwise. M1 is j21

Oh yeah totally agree.....Dartford crossing is the usual route I go but don't mind going the long way round to meet up with others. Plus I save £2! lol

okay, well just give me a time and a postcode and ill be there :)

I won't be convoying Sunday, as said I'm going Saturday and getting wrecked :D

Was just advising on best route for you :)

So for the Sunday..... I was thinking of an 8am departure from Cobham services on the M25 (KT11 3JS)

Cobham Services M25 | Information and Facilities | Motorway Services

Then travel clockwise from here to join the M1 and possibly (depending on interest) pick some others from Toddington services (LU5 6HR) on the M1 for around 9am

Toddington Services M1 | Information and Facilities | Motorway Services

Then get to the event and get parked around the ASN stand (NN3 9DA) for around 9:30am

Audis in the Park - Home

How does that sound for people?

I'll be leaving at 6:30 if that makes you feel any better? lol

Not 100% sure on Cobham services- I haven't even stopped there personally as it's quiet new and also looks HUGE. Just make sure your on the side to exit going clockwise round the M25 mate.

You can get to it from both sides of the motorway. Anyone with a 1.8T should be attracted to it as it has a shell garage, and I know mine is very fond of them...

really, it aint by me..... will save my fill up until i get there then lol

Without wanting to go off topic, I am almost 100% sure it is...

 UK Shell V Power nitro+ has a 99 octane rating

You may find some of the smaller Shell stations only have the odd pump with 99 octane V power available, but I'd be surprised if they don't even stock it....

You up for meeting at Cobham services then Reesy? Need to have the fastest 5 door 8L on ASN on the stand

You can get to Cobham services from both directions, anti clockwise leaves the m25 and goes under the motorway to the services

There is also no difference between the old v power and the new nitro, it's just cleaner and rebranded, octane rating is the same(still 99).I emailed shell and have that on good authority :thumb:

Good day Todd,

Thank you for your email.

The octane formulation for the new Shell V-Power Nitro+ is at 99.

You can find more information on the new Shell V-Power Nitro+ at

If you have any other queries, please do not hesitate to email us
back.

I don't mind taking up this position.

I'll create a list of who's meeting where when I'm on the PC in the next couple of days and drop you all a PM with my mobile number. In case people are late or manage to get lost! Lol
