Rattle from door handle, what are my options?

The drivers side door handle has got a really horrible and loud rattle, when you touch the handle the top part moves a couple of mm.
It now rattles as you turn the stereo up and can be heard in the car.

What are my options?
Do i need to replace the handle or can i just put some sealant or something in the gap to stop the handle moving around? All help is appreciated

inside handle or outside handle ?
the outside ones can come loose, there should be a thread on here how to tighten it up using a credit card.
the clip is under the handle, lock the car lift the handle up and push the clip home with the card.

I have had this issue about 4 times now but it's on warranty so goes back to Audi who replaced the whole door handle AMD lock the first timewhich only lasted about 4 weeks. It doesn't do it now finally but I know how annoying it is, I was just gonna seal it if it happened again.

mate, your a legend. Got a chance to register to that forum and read the thread this afternoon. Went straight out and tried it and it worked a treat. No more rattle. Thanks again, thats one less annoyance in my life.

Audi A4,B6 section, thread is called "loose handle"....

Worked fine for me aswell, you need to be a member of the other forum for it to work. I registered first and then tried the link.

This just saved me from taking the door trim off as i thought something was loose inside!!
2 min job and perfect no tinny/vibration sound when i close the door :O)

Yep thanks all.. thats was a fantastic find.. the drievr door handle was driving me nuts... 2 mins with a old card and its silent.. just got to do the passenger side which seem trickier for some reason..

haha, I love this forum! just sorted my 2 handles-months of pain now over!!!! LOL
