Check List

Hi All, I am new to the forum and ordered my A3 in the end of June, expected end of September so still have a long wait .

This is the first time I have purchased a new car and want to make sure I know everything I need to before I go to pick it up. This forum has already given me so much information but I haven't come across anything about a check list for collection.

Can you guys give me an idea of the things you would check on collection or is there a thread that already has this information?

Hi MyAudiA3, there have been loads of threads regarding this, some very comprehensive. Best thing to do it seach "Checklist" or Check list" using the search thread function.

Thank you for the replies, I will definitely do the searches and read the advised threads.

Just had a call from the dealer to say the car is being built this week and I may get it by the 1st week of September, so getting a bit excited now!!

i think there are quite a few of us waiting for 1st sept collection! Mine built week 29. Lots of excitement to come!

Thanks Sandra! everyone does appear to be quite helpful so I definitely will do.

Really good to see other people just as excited as I am, my family and friends are getting tired of me going on and on about my car - I think they have stopped listening!

September 1st looks like a popular date, do you think this is because of the new plates?

Here was I just thinking that Sandra was only doing September builds and missing us August builds, lol.

Just a quick question.

When you collect your car what kind of mileage will I expect to find on the car? As I have ordered the 1.8 S-Tronic I get the impression not many have ordered this set up so I'm worried the dealer might pop some trade plates on it and take it for a rag to see what it's like?

My car had 9 miles on the clock, the pdi sheets were in the pack suggesting it had 4 miles on it and they road tested it for 5 miles which is pretty standard

Cool thanks Davie, as long as I know what's normal then I won't worry about it.

As long as I don't see a Daytona A3 on trade plates getting driven like it was stolen
