Hello again,

On reviewing my car yesterday before I do a collection on Monday. I noticed that the paint has a ripple on either side where the s line side-skirt would fit. The ripple is below the rear doors just before the rear tires. Anyone else notice this?

Point it out to the dealer on Monday and leave the car until it is repaired as you require it to be done. This should have been picked up during factory inspection or PDI.
Are you looking at the contrast between the paint finish and the stone chip around the sil area?

As above, get it resolved now with a note of the work that's been done for future paint warranty.

I have pointed it out to the sales executive as he was showing me the car. He mentioned that it is normal.
I just need to know if anyone else exeperiences it on their vehicles. I am not sure if its normal or if the dealer is pulling a quick one.

The I think its the stone chip area. It just looks and feels rough. compared to the rest of the area.

I dont have pics but I am talking about this area highlighted in red Untitled

Well without seeing what is called a ripple, its hard to advise, but if its not got any protective element over the paint to protect from stones & it is just as the rest of the bodywork interms of paint/lacquer & it doesn't look the same, then yes its not right & needs resolving.

I might just be over-reacting. It is the same on both sides so it must be normal than.

check out other cars at dealers to see if there the same.

In that area it will be the stone chip below the paint, but better pointing out to the dealer anyway for him to take note.
