Reporting for duty!

There's a few others around as well.

If you're gonna give me crap about the cricket, come back to me when you've held the Ashes for 16 years straight, haha!

Hi Sevv, im afraid im still in sunny Scotland, but sarah is in australia. :) x

ah sorry.. my bad a confusion

Not at all, sometimes i wish i was in Australia for the weather, but otherwise, i love Scotland Sevv. :) x

Oh, I'm in Canberra, so close to Sydney. Well close for Australia anyway, it's about the same distance as London to Paris IIRC. But when I go to Sydney I often go up and back in the same day.

i would too as you have a beautiful country with great landscapes...cant say that about Australia in comparison to Scotland, or Britain ...wish i lived in the UK ... so cheap for many things aside from housing :p

Scotland is beautiful, but if you think Australia doesn't have amazing landscapes you must be blind! :beerchug:

not blind australia has nice landscapes but nowhere near as beautiful as Europe generally speaking its common knowledge and a fact

Wow, a fact?! I wouldn't say one is necessarily better than the other. Not too many places on earth like Uluru or the pinnacles. Not to mention kakadu, the Kimberley etc. Then there's lake eyre with or without water, or just the spectacular expanse of central Australia. Great Barrier Reef and the islands off Queensland. It's a pretty amazing and diverse landscape we have here.

All of the continents have their own highlights, many unique to each.

I'd say Switzerland has the best. But that might be just me saying that because I'm currently just outside the Swiss boarder in a hotel, waiting for the morning to come along, so I can blast round the alps again :D

Sorry, just had to get that in there 😜

no france is :D.. that might be me being slightly biased due to it being the fact my parents come from there :D

S. lol croatia is nice, however not saying Australia isn't and i was talking about landscapes no the reefs of the coast :D we do have the best reef in the world... which Americans just drop a few bombs on lol.... and yes Australia has nice areas but not as much as the EU :D it still is a beautiful country though.. maybe not the people as much :D

Did France yesterday :D I was pretty surprised with the mountain roads. Went up one, very smooth, loads of hare pin turns and it went through the mountain rock for some nice little tunnels. Beautiful views too. Loved it!

Hello from Sydney :)

And thanks again, there's so much knowledge here. Its helped me with the RS3 grill, and doing the rns-e retrofit the right way to end up with a fault code less car :)

i know no one with that however i use Seb at Euro Automotive (girraween) near parramatta.. he is also very busy but seems to be the best around sydney in relation to performance or mechanical work..and is an honest guy...

Sevv: any auto electrical stuff, rnse ,leds, ami, folding mirrors, reverse camera leon over in Sutherland is amazing,

Sevv: should i go see Seb for an Exhaust for my car?Miltek? you done any more mods to your baby?

Seb is good and has been around for ages, there's also Derek at European Autotech on the northern beaches, who's been around for at least the 10 years or so I've been into VAG stuff.

Other names in Sydney that are known to do VAG stuff are Exoticars and City Performance Centre.

id love to get a nice exhaust for my 178hp 2L tdi (remaped already) hate the exhaust sound, so a miltek or whatever might be nice, what you think it would cost in sydney?

do you want the DP cat and turbo back? or just the turbo back... you can get a non-resonated one from the UK for 330 pounds plus 140 pounds shipping so 470 pounds around 700$ not too bad.... in Australia your looking atleast 1.1 to 1.2 k's

Ive done the retrofit myself using the information from this and other forums.

Sev: Im really not sure i dont mind doing the whole thing depending on cost and difference it will make? also there cracking down on loud exhausts now in sydney ive seen, so i guess i want to keep it as legal as possible seeing im still on green P's.
so any help would be appreciated.
